Chris really needs to take some responsibility here.

I'm fed up of hearing excuses about referees and VAR. Yes, we've had decisions go against us and some rotten luck but we're been largely awful since the end of lockdown.

That's 7 games we've lost in a row in the league. Our form since lockdown, with a few bright spots, has been largely dreadful. It has been clear that goalscoring has been the issue.

Throughout, we've played the same way and used the same plan b. Same formation, largely the same players with largely the same results.

We've generally defended really well and so been hard to score against. However, since restart we have really struggled to score goals and looked increasingly iffy at the back. We've signed some decent players at the back but there's nothing in midfield to create. We've been crying out for more and we've ended up with much the same as before.

Personally, I think it's long past time for a new formation. I can't remember the last time we looked dangerous overlapping down the flanks? It's all too slow and ponderous. If we try and move it quicker there's no one in the box. We need to try something different. Teams know how we play and can neutralise us (which isn't hard at the moment).

We had a number 10 and a winger upfront today and when they come and get the ball deep and put it in early there are no midfielders anywhere near the box.

Hopefully, Brewster will help, but I think it's a bit much to pin all our hopes on a teenager who has only played 20 odd games in professional football. It seems a bit of a stretch, at best.

Agreed. Wilder at this point, in my opinion if purely picking favourite's. Bogle/Lowe must be sat there wondering what they've done having watched Enda and Baldock played crap the last 4 times.

Lowe was the main bright spark against Burnley and Bogle is literally nowhere to be seen. Both have a better delivery that Enda and Baldock.

Also, when we have absolutely no pace in the side, can we stop taking off our only outlet in Burke.

We also desperately need another RCM as Lunny could have 3 bad games and not be dropped as nobody plays in his position.

Sande has shown he can play RM but, based on today’s game, isn’t consistently effective as the DM pivot. Was just drifting all over today - you can see he wants to get forward but is concerned he should be staying back to hold. Norwood has not done too much wrong, we miss his deliveries and ability to quickly switch play (ie f**king ping...) and Sande is way more effective driving forward

I see your point with the new lads but it will take them a while to settle into our formation. The last thing you'd want to do is throw them in and they're vastly out of position.

Agree with RCM. We're short there but we appear to have stopped looking after Swift?

Berge did well there after lockdown, especially spurs and Chelsea.

Get Norwood back in the team and the ball moving quicker and we'll look better

Lunny on the bench and Brewster giver us another option up front. Much better going forwards

It could be argued that we struggle to play in an empty stadium. CW always said fans was worth an extra goal a game.

Maybe he has a point.,

Trouble is, it could be next season the way thing are being locked down.
Absolutely bang to right there about the lack of real live atmosphere at games Flakey. Our support both home and away is vital to us as a team, just see how we have gone off the boil since Covid

We need to FUCK this new formation off and get back to how we were.

Now is still not the time to panic but: - and I write with zero sentiment to anyone - it's only about the TEAM.

Robinson needs replacing if JOC is out for the season.

Fleck MUST be back in the side - sorry Osborn - simply not good enough going forward.
Berge is wasted at the base of "this" diamond as it leave Osborn and Lunny in central midfield who will created nothing positive.
Lunny should not play - he's back to how he was before last season.
Lowe should be considered for LWB - Baldock to stay.

A starting midfield of Fleck, Norwood and Berge - Berge actually looks very good bursting into the box.

We go back to 352 - Burke and Brewster to try and forge a partnership and in majority of cases, McB not to start.

We need to move the ball quicker

Are we match fit? Not convinced we are, where as other teams look far more on it that we do.

We are going to have a tough season regardless, but what we have to do is beat Fulham and build confidence against 3 of the big six PLAYING how we used to.

Finally - Burke was right to be pissed off with being taken off - we were doing OK - we might have nicked it playing how we were. We were comfortable and didn't need to win the game, but we really needed not to lose it.

We NEED to get our basics back up and running and quickly.

Rant over.

100% this

Our system is poor, it's not working, needs rethinking, new players do need to be given a chance. Poor substitution today, with Burke gone Arsenal given Wilders permission to push forward. Norwood should have come on not Sharp in a vain attempt to try and produce an opportunity to score.

It's a point but it doesn't make us any different from other teams with good support (Newcastle/Leeds etc)

I'm with Wilder.
I'd give him a job for life.
Your points are correct.

Injured, not likely to be back playing before xmas

Point I was making that he clearly wanted to bring in a RCM but after we gave up on Swift (and he got injured) we've heard nothing more about boosting that position.

Deffo need to get back to our old shape, Berge in for Norwood is ineffective, Berge Norwood fleck has to be the middle 3, Lunny is shite and I have no idea why he’s persevering with him.

Reading's owner wanted more money and then sacked their sporting director (I think the sporting director accepted our bid for Swift)

I hear you but it’s 4 league games, not 7, Doesn’t work to carry over from last season when We’d nothing left to play for

I thought I'd covered all this in my post "is Wildet omnipotent " -whatever.

Reading's owner wanted more money and then sacked their sporting director (I think the sporting director accepted our bid for Swift)

but we don't seem to have been trying to sign another RCM, which is a bit strange isn't it? Unless it was only ever to replace Lunny but we're short in than position.

What we do need Is better referees and VAR to actually check decisions at our games! VAR check on a possible trip (In midfield) on Pogba on a spurs player! but yet no check on the shirt pull and possible red card! I’m getting sick of it😡
