This season has got relegation written all over it..

You always have your explanations. But you never explain when your predictions go wrong. Do you think that's fair?

I don't often make predictions when it comes to United, certainly none recently that I can recall, go and find me one that I've made and I'll explain it.

Leeds did have possession on their side which does invite fouls but how lopsided is 18-4 in fouls.
Tierney for some reason does not like the Blades.
Some of the free kicks given to Leeds were just too daft to laugh at.

All those calling the formation tired, old, and needs looking at. What would you do with the players at our disposal, to improve things?

For me, we're creating chances, just need more quality in the oppo box and we'll be golden.

Start playing with a CAM again and we will create more.

It's a good point. This turd, Tierney, is becoming a thorn in our side.

He is the cretin who was giving Arsenal free-kicks for literally nothing in the FA Cup match and, if I remember correctly, was the lemon who sat on his hands as the VAR at Villa Park when the ball went in the net.

As Wilder has highlighted, and as the BT pundits have agreed, Berge was fouled not just once but twice in the build-up to the goal today. That clown just carried on having given Leeds free-kicks all day for the merest touch.

I'm afraid, therefore, that on top of everything else, we appear to have another official who simply doesn't like us and we'll be in bother every time we have him...which knowing Mike Riley (who also hated us) will be often.

We get a striker that can pass a ball and shoot and we're golden.

Hope they don't look at social media to get geed up, they'll hijack the team bus and drive it into the sea.
With respect, we need to work on getting strikers on the end of our moves. Most of last season and all 3 games this one, we’re asking defenders to put the final ball in and midfielders to get on the end of it. Something in the system needs a tweak

Game one, concede 2 in 6 mins, rest of the game was 50/50

Game two, Egan sent off after 12mins, miss penalty (and their player should have been sent off)

Game three, Ampadu not given a pen for a more obvious foul than the one that got Egan sent off v Villa.

Get a grip.
One goal scored in the last 6 premier league games.
Best part of £100 million spent over the last 3 transfer windows and the team is struggling

Surely there are reasons that some fans are worried

I see a team lacking a bit of luck and a bit of composure in the final third.

I’m not seeing a team lacking desire, fight, quality or grit.

I’m not seeing a coaching team running out of ideas.

It’s clear we don’t have the financial might of other clubs in this league, but we’re trying to be smart about our spending. And we are spending, contrary to a lot of the petulant squawking on here.

We’re not going down. Compose yourselves.

Our strategy of not wanting to overpay for players/wages sees a of our targets go elsewhere and/or getting things done takes an age. Sustainability is the watch word. Unfortunately this isn't compatible with being in the PL. Trying to do things on the cheap will catch up with you.

This isn't to blame anyone, the club has spent money, just not enough and if we don't have it we don't have it. The obvious solution is to take more risk, but that is at odds with the strategy/ethos. It's a strategy which could see us financially sound, in the championship.

Unfortunately although it was a much improve display. These two things matter most.

1. we don’t keep clean sheets
2. We don’t score goals

1+2 = no wins = no points = relegation

This 'lost the last 6 PL games' line is bollocks. Frankly. Points don't carry over. The teams in the division don't carry over. The players in the teams don't carry over. The managers of the teams don't carry over. Why should 'wins' be different. We finished 9th last year. We've lost 3 games this season. Need to improve. Panic gets is absolutely nowhere. Them's the facts.

We will never do anything of note whilever we don't invest in key areas i thought the signing of Sander Berge would prove to be a real game changer for us but all we have signed since is inferior quality.

One thing which worried me is that Leeds looked so much fitter than us.
Last season our fitness levels were higher than most opposition we faced , which made up for any lack of quality.
But we're not at last season's level.

This was very noticeable towards the end. It's difficult because we made some changes but they looked a step above on the fitness front. In all fairness though, their players more resemble athletes than ours!

A striker who can link and run and then shoot with someone like Burke or McBurnie would be great.

We don't have strikers on the end of stuff because they pass but then don't move quick enough to get a return.

Imagine Burke with someone who could lay it off in front of him, and then read and run on to a return and put it in the onion bag, that's what we need.

If JOC is out long-term and we don't sign someone (doesn't seem likely) I'd go 4 at the back and have 3 strikers and tell one of them to stay central and be ready, but it's real life not FIFA so I'll leave it to Wilder.

Glad it’s just not me. Can’t stand the steaming pile of bobbar. Breathe on a seat smasher, foul. Ampadu in area. Basham at corner flag, spring to mind. Then again if the muppet can’t see a ball in the back of the net, what chance have we got? We also should have been out of sight by half time.

We are almost certainly going to be bottom now after 8 games so it's all about the confidence levels being high enough to claw things back. Obviously it's way too early to say we are going down but we are going to have to show some proper bottle.

I agree about the position after 8 games, but if we can claw thigs back a bit then 9 of our final 12 games are against teams we should be able to pick points up against. Goal difference could end up being crucial! But actually I think we will OK over the season, but we need points in the bag before Christmas to build on.

he was very uneven handed with the fouls , we only breathed on them and he gave them one
the goal came about after Berge was mugged and for some reason he missed all 3 kicks ,Robbie Savage on BT said it was 2 fouls
these things change games

lets not forget we lost the first 4 and went on to be champions in league one
relegating us now is premature in the extreme

arsenal next not harder just a different challenge
theres no easy games , likewise they are all hard

I’m not even that convinced by Berge, he should be offering a lot more considering the money he cost.

I thought we deserved a point tonight. I thought we did enough to merit a point at Villa as well. In a different world Lunny scores the penalty last week, JWs touch today nestles just in the corner and Bamford's header bounces off a post and we're all saying what a solid start it's been. It's fine margins. We're due some luck, I know that much.
Small margins as you rightly say. Slowly improving and our luck will turn. We are not getting relegated, neither in September nor next May.

As soon as I read Jack O'Connell maybe out for the season I knew we were fucked. A more defensive style of play, absolutely no goals from the midfield or forwards can only mean one thing. Without 2 or 3 new players then I don't see how we can get the points required. Prince it's up to you now, back Wilder or expect relegation and losing him.

no it hasn’t.

Not after 3 games it doesn't. Hate to be on the front line with some of you lot. First shot's fired you'd be running like fuck in the opposite direction. Deary me.

Its so hard to get into a game when the opposition use tactical diving to break up play ,only seen this be so effective twice and in both games Tierney was in charge
Arsenal in the cup last year and today
I think it got to about the 70 th minute before he gave us a free kick ,where as Leeds were getting them.for nothing if that ampadu challenge had been in our box it would have been a pen

Saying that I'm surprised he never sent baldock off

As I’ve said before, nothing against these players but was it necessary to give new deals to Sharp, McGoldrick and Jagielka? Should be no sentiment, especially with our wage and transfer budget. Your probably looking at £100k a week in wages for these three. This could be going towards a new striker and central midfielder. Probably get slagged off but I honestly think there’s a gravy train now at the Lane. Also getting a little pissed off with the signing of players over the last few years and then getting binned off after a year after playing a handful of games. Are the scouts and management doing due diligence before actually signing these players?
