Reports of a really tasty bid by Palace debunked by their Chairman.

We've gone in with a second bid apparently too.

It wasn’t a tasty bid...it was a stupid high risk deal for Palace....and incredibly with little reward....if he becomes a star Liverpool could buy him back on the cheap.
It was a “no lose” deal for Liverpool.....I was pleased we backed out of a potential financial suicide deal.
Lets not forget that Brewster is still only potential....we shouldn’t expect much from him this season.

Yeh i don't think any of these reporters know the current situation. I'd believe Parish as it's come from the horses mouth. Must be still all to play for and decision is with Brewster - assuming we have made a formal offer which i think we have going by Wilder's update

This bid business......notice how virtually no clubs publically admit they‘ve made a bid.

It‘s to save face......it’s like fancying a girl...you buy her flowers, tell everyone she’s your girl....you buy her gifts........then she rejects your advances.
Your confidence is still high.....so you move on to another girl.....she’s the one your really fancy...you buy her gifts......but she rejects your advances and prefers someone else. If your not careful.......you become “persona non grata”.

Thing about Parish's statement is not just the no formal or informal bid but that he also states it is "total fabrication from start to finish" therefore how can Sky continue to state that Palace are prepared to pay the sum as well....??
