We all do mate but we'd have even more confidence in his judgement if he was going into battle with a bit.more.live ammo!

No problem with signing good value back up and I've been pretty relaxed and supportive of the board so far. However if they are 3 of our 5 incomings the other 2 need to be capable of immediately improving the first 11
Gradual improvements.. To sign 5 players capable of going straight into our first team would cost over £100m and we simply haven’t got that sort of money. -Just look at Cash, £16m and he would likely have started as back-up to George.

Anyone else see the part of the report from the link in the Derby paper about them trying to get Sharp in on loan?

Seen various figures quoted from initial 10 rising to 15
Someone also mentioned 8

anyone any confirmation if they have actually signed and what the fee is?

but even at 10 rising to 15 I consider it a good deal
For the right type of players at the right age

no doubt they will get game time as our WB get through an Enormous amount of work

Really happy with both Bogle and Lowe if this works out. They might not be ready just yet but can only get better. Should be good cover and eventually competition, and at a reasonable price too. Fits the strategy of buying younger players who can develop. Two of the 5 positions covered for 10m, and with 2 loans incoming does that leave money in the bank for a big signing?

Could CW have pulled off a master stroke here? Show interest in Matty Cash with no intention of making a serious offer and divert the interest away from the real target of Bogle.....then snap up the better of the two players for a fraction of the price..... genius..

We did make a serious offer. £6m -plus £4m in add-ons was spot on in my opinion.

We getting two players for 50% less than villa and Newcastle are paying for one of apparently equal standard.
I say of equal standard as none of them have finished developing yet and we do not know potentially how good any of them are

You mean like Ramsdale cost us £18 million when quoted from Bournemouth which was disputed by local press and put at much closer to £10m.
Derby will be saying it’s £15m no doubt to save face and it will be undisclosed.
As with Ramsdale under £10m is likely to be closer to the truth.

I wouldn't say Bogle is better than cash, but he's younger and has a much higher ceiling of potential imo. An absolute steal for the pair at 8 - 15m.

They can have Sharp on loan over my dead body!

Could we not tempt them to a Kean Bryan on a perminant deal?

I'd be very happy with this. Impressed when we played them in the past.

When all the talk was of Cash I mentioned I'd be very happy with Bogle as an alternative.

Fact Dean Smith has paid 16m for Cash and we could get Bogle for a fraction of that! Well, our Chris has had Villa's pants down there! Looks they might have very much overpaid for a decent player while we will be paying half of that for one of equal ability.
