Anyone else spot someone familiar on the Harrogate bench just after they scored? Massively surprised myself by recognising him - Paul Thirlwell! Turns out he’s their assistant manager.

Their manager is former pig, Simon Weaver.

Well he was on their books but didn't get a game.

He's worked wonders at Town. Good little outfit.

They're building a new stand to raise their capacity to 5,000 and it's a great football day out.

They serve brilliant, locally-made, burgers and a real ale specially brewed for them which is extremely quaffable!

And it's a 30 minutes free bus ride away from my house :)

If Harrogate go up they will become only the 5th Yorkshire team to be promoted (rather than elected etc) into the football league. Who can name the other 4.

Am I right in thinking both Connor Hall and Lloyd kerry were youth players of ours

The first time I've actually enjoyed a play off final - other than when I've been a complete neutral :)

I'm going with Rotherham Utd, Grimsby, Barnsley and Scunthorpe (assuming the East Riding or whatever it's called these days is counted).

And they draw the massive (small m) in the Wilko's sugar soap trophy, we could have gone and given 'em our support.

Yeah I just put those answers to prove I'm not a cheat.

Your a fountain of knowledge, I learned something there.

Well I've lived in North Leeds for 25 years and we go to Harrogate quite often.

Lovely town if you've never been.

Great pubs, bars and restaurants, to say nothing of Betty's.
Quality olde-worlde restaurant and the most amazing cakes.
Not cheap but the you do get what you pay for.

And, Fat Rascals, especially the spiced seasonal ones!

Fantastic range of teas and coffees as well
