I also can't tell whether I prefer it. I kind of like being able to hear the shouts and screams of the players and the bench.

it also acts as a ball boy. they are also using a multi ball system has this been approved for the EPL games

Ben Osborn was dead against it when raised in his recent interview, think he thought it was too weird. It seems like a lack of noise is less of an issue for players than spectators. For communication alone it must actually have a beneficial aspect.

Just watched BT Sport's version during the Leverkusen v Bayern game and it was dogshit.

Not interactive in any way until Leverkusen scored in the second half when there was a bit of a roar, but that may have been the bench.

Just bog standard "nothing happening" crowd noise on a loop. Also there was the sound of a football being kicked that happened every 10-15 seconds which is really annoying when the ball is stationary, being held by the keeper, rolling on the floor etc. There was also a whistle that went off every so often, again independent of the game.

It's really off putting. Either have it so it interacts with what's happening, or don't have it at all. Hopefully Sky's offering is better.

I've got a copy of the Blades boot boys CD somewhere. I'm going to pipe that into the man cave. Every so often I'll get a rendition of "you're gonna get your fuckin heads kicked in" followed by that really loud feedback whistle.

I think I prefer it. When you watch it without you get drawn into the fact there’s no crowd and end up thinking about that, whereas with noise you forget about all that and just enjoy the football.

They had a slider with fake noise on for when we sang Sky TV is fucking shit or similar, they just used to fade it in over the top. It malfunctioned on the last post that time and we got the stick, I think they apologised on twitter eventually.

Believe me, when you watch a game with no crowds, you’ll be wanting fake noise.

I've been watching the Bundesliga since it started without crowd noise, and the last 2 games that I watched had it, I prefer it without to be honest if that's what it'll be like. It's still a game with no crowd, I'd rather hear a few hundred people and the players actually reacting to what's happening than crowd.mp3 that's just generic noise personally.

Plus when it's us it'll be great to hear Wilder shouting at everyone.

"BASH! BASH! BASH! FUCKING GET FORRAD WI' IT!"

Maybe Sky will do a better job than BT, but BTs was shite.
