“If Mousset scores 10 goals this season I will be very very surprised”

Lol.

Some right arrogant twats in their fanbase. Never did like them.

Wolves are an excellent counter attacking team but struggle to break down teams who sit in. Think it might suit us to be a little bit more cautious in this game.

Won't hurt our chances at all that they played away in Portugal on Thursday either. Obviously there's the tiredness but the main thing is that they will have very little time to work in training on tactics for this game.
Pretty much. We play the same team and formation every week, tight at the back and pace on the break. Same as in the Championship with the addition of a couple of top class players (Moutinho who is on a different planet, Jimenez who is top scorer in the country and Traore who has just learnt how to play football). But we are suspect at the back to high balls now that Boly is out and we are often ineffective against teams that sit back and crowd out the attacking wingbacks. 11 games in the Europa League have been a doddle so far, but the heavy pitch last night was really draining and stamina may come into it in the second half on Sunday. Am expecting a hard fought tight game, with no diving and nasty tackles. Could go either way.

One comment is that we are high performance on grift. Grift?

I had to look it up but unless we’ve got a few wrong ‘uns involved in small time embezzling or swindles, he’s got us confused with somebody else. Garry Monk most likely 🙂

The "same team" that lost at Molineux

Moore (sent off, Eastwood on for Wilson)

Baldock
Bash
Stearman
JOC
Enda

L. Evans
Holmes
Fleck

Clarke
Wilson

Subs Donaldo for Holmes, Leonard for Bash

Tough game, but I think we're a bit better now.

Cheers Roy

Are they still laking abart in those knee length Goodyear gold and black coats? Scruffy gets 🙄

Rate Nuno as a manager but you can’t compare him and CW, the former has done it with a barrel load of cash.

Love references to us being “physical” and having a weak defence. Tha what?! 😂😂

Will be a tough match, I’d take a draw.

Strange how they mention when they thrashed us at Molinueux
but seem to have forgot how we outclassed them at Bramall Lane only 2 years ago (admittedly they were down to 10 men but we dominated when they had 11).
We even had Leon Clarke dominating their defence.

I’m already predicting that Wolves will have their worse game of the season against us.
They’ll struggle to see much of the ball and will look lethargic.
The Wolves fans will blame their “off-day” on playing in the Europa Cup and being more tired.
They’ll say “Sheff United wanting it more” ha ha

We play bettter football and are a better team than Wolves, whilst they have quality individuals, should be a tight game...probably a draw.

Wolves fan here. I can only speak on behalf of myself, but every fan I spoke to away in Portugal this week had nothing but positives to say about Blades this season. This month we are playing Bournemouth, Braga and Brighton away, alongside Blades and West Ham at home, and the clear consensus is that the game on Sunday will be the toughest of the lot. The work ethic instilled by Wilder and the structure and style of play that you see is similar to what we have seen under Nuno, with both managers being a credit to the game in terms of their attitude and behaviour.

We keep our shape, fight for every ball and play the best football that we have seen for years. Seems to me (and most neutrals) that Blades do exactly the same. Milton Keynes, Port Vale and Burton Albion away and here we are now both giving Tottenham and ManUtd a run for their money. As for the match itself, of course we want to win, but no one should be expecting anything other than a battle between two teams rightfully sat in the top 6 of the best league in the world.
Good to hear it - i always had Wolves fans down as being decent, as shown following our 3-0 defeat at the Millenium Stadium in 2003 where there was no gloating that i saw. We have our fair share of uneducated "fans" too.

I think when we played them in the championship we gave them far too much respect, wilder praised them to high heaven n then we just didn't perform, we could lose but expecting a much better performance

Many thanks Roymundo.

If we do manage to stay up this season and get another crack next year, I would hope we would show a tad more humility and a shit load less arrogance than that bunch, (Jonathan Evans excepted)

I'm going to do a combined XI of the now-settled first team this season and the team which played last time we were at Molineux:

Henderson
Basham Egan O'Connell
Baldock Lundstram Norwood Fleck Stevens
Mousset McGoldrick
Funnily enough, it's this season's team and there's no space for Stearman, Holmes, Evans, Clarke, Moore or Wilson (which is more than half the starting XI that evening). Of those, only Moore is anywhere the bench let alone the first team and we bombed out Evans and Wilson within 4 months of that game.

Where are they now? Wolves 3-0 United (3/2/18)
Moore - backup keeper
Baldock - still 1st choice
Stevens - still 1st choice
O'Connell - still 1st choice
C Basham - still 1st choice
R Stearman - 5th/6th choice centre back
Fleck - still 1st choice
Evans - bombed out and now stinking up Wigan's midfield
Holmes - frozen out at the Lane but refusing to leave
Clarke - 6th choice centre forward
Wilson - last seen heading into the wastelands north of the Wall

Subs
Eastwood - on loan at bottom of the football league Scunthorpe
Lafferty - at Shamrock Rovers (Irish Premier)
Lundstram - now 1st choice
Leonard - didn't make the cut at the Lane, now at Millwall
Duffy - spectacularly nuked his bridges at the Lane, can now be found on Stoke's bench
Sharp - fifth choice forward
Donaldson - at League Two Bradford

This will be tough, no doubt about it, but it'll be tougher for them too. We've vastly improved in the last 21 months.

Think Wolves have a decent side, but the Europa could be their undoing. Here's hoping.

“They are doing well but the media love is in hilarious.
I popped onto an arsenal forum last night and there are quite a few rate wilder than Nuno. Bizarre”

Not quite as bizarre as your comments numpty.
By your own fans' admission, we have players with little to no skill, yet basically in the same position as your team of superstars bought with a ton of cash.
Chris Wilder deserves all the plaudits he gets. One day, you'll wake up to that.

Our team that day:

Moore
Basham Stearman O'Connell
Baldock Fleck Evans Stevens
Holmes
Clarke Wilson
Thanks -
I did wonder when I read it was basically the same team . only 6 changes from our planned starting 11 on Sunday then.

To be fair I look at the opposition every week and think, Bloody hell, this is a tough game coming up. Having read that it would be an ideal week for Didsy to break his EPL duck

“We smashed sheff at home in champ when they used same tactics and mainly same players”

O'Connell, Basham, Stevens, Fleck, Baldock are literally the only ones that played that day.....yes they battered us quite convincingly that day but we're definitely not the same team.

Conveniently forgets that they got battered at our place earlier in the season

Wolves seem to me a little odd, they’ve got a fantastic manager and top level players, but are nothing special in the top echelon of football, its like the players and manager are stood waiting for a plane to a better destination, and as soon as a top job comes for that manager I get the feeling he and a few of his players will depart..

Have a pop at us if you like to think you’re now a special club in English football because you’ve spent a few quid on mercenaries, the reality is we are only Sheff Utd, but they are only Wolves, they will always be “just wolves” nowt special..

I like Wolves. I have always felt, of all the 92 clubs, they are the club most like us. I have never seen/heard any arrogance from their fans in the past. The arrogance from a few on their forum, I'm putting down to typical Internet knownowts.
I hated Wolves, still don't like them. We seemed to play them and Ipswich every other week in the 90's
