Best player so far

Tough one, but for his lack of finishing i'm going for David 'golden touch' Mcgoldrick

He is the best forward/link player in the division (maybe)

A spurs pal said he's unplayable, not fast but just glides and his ball is always on point (what the fuck that means but i agree)

I agree. We’ve got some very important players at the moment who we’d miss if they weren’t available but I think we would miss McGoldrick more and we did so when he missed a few games through injury earlier in the season.

Didz was the one player I thought would struggle in the big league. He's not scored yet but fuck me he's brilliant.

Didzy for me too. if he stays fit the sky’s the limit (well 5th anyway). Would be ironic (and unjust) if he didn’t get a goal but we might not need him too!!!

I don’t have a favourite because everybody (including the owners who pulled 50million out from the back of the settee) has excelled this season, but we knew some would step up and were clearly good enough..

Lundstam is the jack in the box player that nobody saw coming, if he was at Frank lampards Chelsea instead of with gritty northern Sheffield Utd he’d have got a cap last week..

Difficult choice. Push comes to shove, love watching Didzy. Also love it when Mousse does his stuff, guys just going to get better and better.
So David McG. for me

The reason we are where we are is because the team have continued to play as a team!
So therefore it's very difficult to pick out a single individual, but for me it has to be John Egan.
Who would have thought this thread would happen this time last year . Everybody trying to choose the best player so far . Hands up if you would have thought we would be having had a thread about who hasn’t stepped up to the plate in the prem. Every week becomes harder to highlight the man of the match which just goes to show how much of a good team they have become . But for me Enda. Followed closely by the other 10. Don’t you just love watching Dem Blades at the moment. Unbelievable.

Stand outs for me in no particular order are McGoldrick, Stevens, Fleck, Lundstram the rest have been solid if unspectacular. McGoldrick makes controlling the ball look ridiculously easy, Stevens and Fleck supported by JOC are very dangerous down our left which drags defenders that way leaving Lundstram to arrive late with no one near him, his goals have been very similar.
Best player so far? hard to say when everyone adds something to the team.

It's just a shame that 20 of that 50 was 'spunked' on McBurnie! 🙄

Lunny-Egan-JOC-Bash-Stevens, I can't choose between them.

Egans song, as it turned a good journeyman defence, into a band of unbeatable brothers.

There were threads on here a few years ago, about who could make the step up from League One to the Championship.

Then, of course, it was, if we dare to dream, who could make the step up to the big league?

They all have, every last one of them.

I also think Duffy would have made the step up, had he still been here.

Chris Wilder and Alan Knill have created a well oiled machine, and have instilled that sense of belief in the players. Liverpool beat us due to an error, we beat the Arse, Spurs fans saying we deserved all three points? Hand on heart, who honestly saw this coming at the start of the season?

I am not a big social media user, but it seems that a lot of neutral fans are picking us up as their team to watch.

I can't pick just one player, they have already given us some fantastic scenes, results, memories and it's not even Christmas yet.

UP THE BLADES!

Fleck player of the season so far for me.

Been superb

Egan.

When he went off a couple of games ago, I thought we were in trouble. An absolute monster of a CB and I don't think anyone else in the squad could marshal the back 3 (or 5) better than him. Fast becoming one of my all time favorite Blades.

McG , Egan, Joc, Bash, Stevens, Baldock, Lunny, fleck with the moose catching up! Hell i love em all!

Enda Stevens for me. Phenomenal in both attack and defence, and the architect of our demolition of Burnley. Seems to get better every game.

Was out with a Wednesday supporting mate on Friday who said he thinks apart from Robertson and Chillwell, Stevens has been the best LB in the league this season!

The fact that there are so many different answers says it all really. But McGoldrick for me. Absolute joy to watch

Didzy alone is worth the entrance fee. A beautiful footballer with and without the ball. Can't wait for him to get his 'official' 1st goal in the prem, and hope it's at BDTBL so we can raise the roof for him.
My 2nd choices are our wing backs...I love to watch Stevens and Baldock getting forward and causing havoc

Honestly couldn’t pick between Lunny, Norwood, Hendo, Enda, Baldock, JOC, Egan, McGoldrick, Fleck, Bash.
