From the people.........

Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair is wanted on loan by Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson.

Would be a good loan signing i think.

Although will it happen?? We've been getting a midfielder in for months now...

What effect does everyone think us being linked with new players ALL the time is having on our actual proper players?
I think it's saying to them that they aren't good enough in Robsons mind.
When from what they've played like last season and the season before we know they are good enough.

would be a great signing...
although i can't understand why the players we have now are not performing to how they did last season...maybe it's the change in management and coaching staff

I've just deleted my original post as I was rather scathing towards the alleged loan signings that have been mooted - Stelios, Campo - that I won't believe anything that I hear until it's definite.

Sometimes it can be in the players' minds that they've played well against the likes of Fabregas and Rooney so they should be able to stroll through games against Preston and Colchester. They need to realise that they have to put the same amount of effort in as last year. I hate to say it but I think Warnock would've been the right man to give them the kick up the a*** and bring the back down to earth.
EDIT: But Warnock's obviously a Premiership manager......

So far its a different one every week, and suprise suprise they never arrive.

Middlesbrough interested fee around 2 million.

Premier League experience, still a decent age.

And the wee Scottish Sun saying stuff abart it

Seems worryingly like an alternative to Robinson.

already been at Villa on loan, passed it, then we only have 16 players and need a few to fill the squad.

Get ready. Swapping Balders for Sinclair.

I rate the lad. Prem experience, technical, ticky, pacey, knows where the onion bag is! Only 2m!

Always liked him to be fair, a decent player and always seemed a steady character. For 2m he is definitely worth a punt for our first season back. If he doesn't cut it at this level anymore then we won't lose out too much.

It's come out of nowhere, as some of Wilder's often do, so I could see this happening.

Is he more of a striker than a middy?

Alternative to being outpriced for McBurnie perhaps? Different type of player but both in a striking role

2 years back he ripped the SPL to bits (for what that's worth) but he's 30 now and would seem to be a cheaper alternative to Watkins or Robinson.
I'm really not sure, but for £2m it's probably worth a two season punt.
