Henderson to Cardiff

Knowing how inundated we are with strikers at the moment I can see him going. It would make absolutely no sense, but that seems to be a common theme these days.

If the playoffs are out of sight by the jan window I can see McCabe cashing in. Reprofiling for next season with young hungry players, quality not quantity along with other catch phrases.

Would be a big miss if we let him go.

You are joking!

He epitomises everything that is wrong about us and our style of play. He's a donkey! Always off side, slow, gives away a foul every other time he touches the ball not to mention being dreadfull in the air for such a big bloke.

Just think, if Darius went we might even start playing football.

Not his biggest fan, but dreadful in the air?

I can't take your comment serious after that.
I don't overly rate Hendo and I've love to see Cresswell/Evans to see if he is more mobile but you can't knock Hendo's form in our last few games.

Indeed he is dreadful in the air.

That's where he gives most of his free kicks away. Because he can't jump he uses his arms to gain leverage resulting, 9 times out of 10, in a free kick to the opposition.

Did you see those two chances he missed against Barnsley?

Like with Monty, people who dislike Henderson will always see the worst in him... and vica versa of course.

I've watched Hendo with abaited breathe from when we first signed him from Watford, we don't play the same system as they did when Henderson was playing for them. We like to do it the old Bassett way lump it forward a.s.a.p.( sometimes on the floor, which at the time was ok ),no money for quality players back then. When Henderson was playing for Watford they liked to play it on the floor a lot & Henderson at the time was very good at controlling the ball and distributing it along the floor. I've also watched other player's in this role as well in the prem & championship and these player's don't get the referee blowing for a foul all the time like Henderson does. I'm not saying that referee's are picking on Henderson, but they do seem to pick on us a lot though. Like what Houso said before me about the debate with Monty people pick on a player because he as a bad day then stick to this even though they are the best on the pitch in a match. Torrix1889 I don't want to get into a slangging match but you seem to fall into this catergory with Henderson, when we get a manger who wants to play football on the floor, like in the John Harris mould. You'll see a diferent Henderson to the one you see now who just jumps in the air a lot.

Forget the Hendo rumour what about further down when it says we want andrew davies to replace killa?????? replace killa with davies hope not. When killa goes in jan hope davies follows and we get a proper CB in.

Agreed.

Although despite being poor he can still chip in with a goal unlike others at the moment. Still think he was waste of money but you cant really sell the person who seems to be scoring the odd few goals for us? Oh wait we can and we usually do.

Without Henderson (the best target man in the Championship) we have no attacking threat ,if he had been fit for the play off final we would be in the premiership now.

Given that he was completely ineffective in the League game at Burnley the previous month, which unfolded tactically in exactly the same way as the playoff final, I have a very hard time believing this.

(As an aside, one of the things that still grates about the playoff final is the fact that Burnley shut us down in exactly the same way as in the Turf Moor match and Blackwell did not have the nous to (a) realise this was going to happen and (b) do anything about it when it did happen).)

Me and Robbie were discussing this in the pub last night actually, that's quite weird!

And how could he possibly not plan for four or five players having a really off day - bad planning again You should always expect your players to be rubbish after winning a couple of games.

It was bad planning because he tried the same tactic that had failed previously against Burnley, we played into their hands. If we had gone into the game like we did against Preston, we would have caused them more problems than we did.

I'm not saying alot of players didn't have a bad game, because they did. But the tactics were all wrong too. We were lucky to only lose 1-0 in the end.

If this is true please contact the Fiery one!
I will personally drive him down to Cardiff pay the Severn toll charge and buy him a coffee at Costa on the motorway!
Unfortunately me thinks this is a bit of a hoax
Best target man in the division then put him on Salisbury Plain and let the army use him for target practice!
