McCabe wants to sell Blades

I’m no lawyer, but I can explain it to you.

When he sold half the club to the Prince. for a £1, the Prince seemed to assume that this gave him rights over the related properties, it doesn’t.

So they’ve fell out over that bit.

I’ve said now for the past 2 years plus, that the solution is for both parties to settle and sell to a third party.

Let’s see what happens.

You’d think this would have been verified at the time and documentary evidence signed to show this.....

I said my guess is that the prince is richer based on both of their business involvements, I made absolutely no mention of birthplace.
Oh, please do elaborate on how you came to your conclusion passed on your knowledge the Saudi toilet paper market?
I just assumed you were guessing based solely on the fact that he’s a Prince from Saudi and would therefore would be a billionaire. Obviously that would be ignorant nonsense and would be the sort of thing an idiot wouldn’t assume. Apologies, if you’re not that sort of ignorant idiot. I clearly misjudged you.
Now please enlighten me as I’m sure many of us would be interested in this information as it’s not commonly known.

I agree, I think there's a buyer waiting in the wings, although, that observation seems to get others backs up for some reason?

The fact that McCabe does not want the job anymore but is having to go to the high court is because this Saudi prince is probably trying to get the club for fuck all. If that's his intention then go home Abdullah, McCabe may have been at fault for a lot of our barron years but he's a true Blade and you clearly aren't. If you have any real integrity and serious intentions to take our great club forward then buy him out fair and square. After all he gave you 50% for £1.

He wants out so buy him out.

Your'e no lawyer. Just leave it at that.

Yeah that’s my understanding as well. What was the offer? I just assumed he didn’t want them
the number I remember was £25m plus £5 m for the club. I might be wrong but it looks daft money compared to what the club is worth now.

I’m not sure why that would get any body’s back up. Why do you think there’s somebody waiting in the wings? Why couldn’t that same somebody just put an offer to both owners now?

Would your opinion be different if the Prince came out and said “I’m trying to save X million on buying the club so I can pump that money straight into the first team”.

I’m not suggesting that’s the case, just trying to make interesting discussion.

You're the pretend expert, not me.
Haha, nice try.
You said you hazard a guess that he was much wealthier than McCabe. I asked you based on what, because all information available so far has said he isn’t.
If you’re going against all the available info then you’re either pretending to be an expert or making ignorant generalisations. I’m betting on the latter and the reason being “he’s an Saudi Prince so must be loaded”. But you’ve already said I’m wrong with that assumption, so please educate me.

No, if he's all that he would buy out a guy that was fair with him by being fair back. If he hasn't got the loot go away. I would rather have McCabe being limited with funds than someone I don't know.

People are under the over-suspicious illusion that a new owner will come in and demolish the Lane for residential development, move us to Don Valley and cause the club to sink in to the conference.

Fair enough

Maybe McCabe is very worried he will lose out in the courtroom, sounds like he is shouting from the hilltops for someone to come in with a huge offer before the Prince dry rapes his arse. McCabe has has always wanted every penny he invested back this may be his only chance. I can see the Prince getting control for a fraction of what the club is now worth.

GLTTL that video was like selling a house where there's one or no bids on the table and just getting as much publicity as possible looking to publicise and get the best buyer.

Can't blame him, deserves respect and a fair settlement, done us proud overall and eventually even though it was a long bumpy ride.

Not convinced BRP will be part of it though unless they settle, which well may be part of the chess match here.

Whoever buys us will immediately sack Wilder, change our name to Sheffield Blades and our colours to green.

Stop fucking guessing then on the basis of no knowledge or rational analysis. You don't have to be an expert to actually do some research.
The data says they are of similar wealth, but you don't seem to be grasping how limited that data is. You are deriving conclusions from one article by the Yorkshire Post and a Wiki page.

Though it's fine to do that, it's also fine for others not to, and instead have their own guess based on the businesses they have been involved with. As I said, the truth is that nobody really has a clue.

Just fucking stop digging

That may help, but it sounds like his role would be advisory at best. There’s no way McCabe can sell up and retain some sort of oversight role. The lack of that is the reality of him selling up.

No, but he will do all he possibly can to sell to a buyer who has the best interests of our club at heart. He won’t simply throw us to the wolves.

I know your reply will rightly include a reference to irony, but, in many ways, we’re in uncharted territory here.

See above post.

He wants rid of his ownership. That doesn’t mean he will sell the football club he dearly loves down the river. He won’t do that.

He won't. If he wants to be a fan doing the Allez songs in the stand next season like he says he will have to sell with prudence and as a Blade he will. He might have fucked up along the line but nobody can doubt his love for the Blades. I suspect he's already got this sewn up with significant international investment that has the same ideolgy he has, just with more clout to deliver it.
