My word. This forum is unbelievable! So much negativity against a team and manager who have surpassed all expectations by a country mile. For pity's sake, get behind the boys. We're in the Play Offs at the very least

Of course not, they are all **insert abusive term here**

It's frustrating if we miss out on such an opportunity, but we also have to remember we are over achieving.

Forget the past, let's have a right good go at the final few fixtures and see where it takes us.

At least we won't be playing the pigs in the playoffs.

You are right of course but to come so close and be dammed by the way we've not played all season is sad. If we're going to be dammed then be dammed by the way we played in the first first half of the season.

It’s not over yet so I wish people would stop acting like it is. The players need us to support them now, but yet again when the going gets tough our fans crumble.

I never thought I'd get a chance to call you a clapper, even in jest :D

You are 100% right though, they've done more than enough to deserve the fans help over the final few! :)

Is that suppose to make us feel better?

Yeah exactly,
Just when Wilder and the team have the biggest brainfart of all time and turn a flamboyant, attacking, entertaining team into something that Kevin Blackwell would be proud of, we enter the play offs

Indeed, but these are be times and we owe Wilder and the boys a last push. 6 years in league one seems to have quickly been forgotten!

We say united choke and have a history of it yet the only thing which is a constant is the fans. They should put their tears to a side at least till end the end of May

you know about our playoff record Chris presumably?

Today was incredibly frustrating, because we've not played how we can and should have, and have suffered the consequences.
But, the venom in posts on here by some is unbelievable.
We've got out of league1 on 100 pts, built last season, and now hoping for Prem, maybe automatic, built on a shoestring, with players who CW has crafted together in a way that is the envy of most other clubs and fans.
I've only just started to calm down, and after going away to brum to watch us also out of sorts, am concerned about the current wobble.
We all play are part in what happens next. I can't do with those who are so willing to want to lay into the players and manager so quickly.
Passion is great, lets try to channel it in the right way.

Well said.

I also get [and share] the frustration but the negative, smug, self absorbed 'I told you so' brigade that comes crawling out after every disappointing result is as funny as it is pathetic. Thankfully it's a small selection of posters, very small actually but they don't half make some racket when things aren't going well.

I might be a clapper, but I haven't given up on this just yet and even if we do miss out on 2nd then I have seen enough from Wilder and co to know that we will give the playoffs a right old go. The happy campers mentioned above can lump their money on Villa, and hope that we fail again.

I'm far from negative but we honestly have been very poor in the past 4 games. We just haven't played anywhere near the way we did earlier in the season. The movement in the final third has been missing when previously the forwards and midfielders constantly moved and switched positions to created space. Today Millwall sat back the first half today and we showed very little in terms of creativity, then when we scored, we looked terrified of them. So utterly frustrating. Have we just run out of steam?

I find this forum very cathartic - feel better for having a bit of a rant - better than bottling it up :confused:

'They've done brilliantly'
'We've over achieved'
'The players have bottled it'
'We've fucked it'.

It's a false dichotomy. They did brilliantly. Then they bottled it. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

True. Lots ( most?) people probably think similar, and these are the sorts of realistic concerns we should be talking about, rather than which player should get hung drawn and quartered first.

Was it still a good dropped two points nid-week, by the way? I know we were going to stuff Millwall and Wednesday were going to do us a favour, so I guess it must be.

Ah that’s it. It’s the fans fault.

Only one set crumbled today, and they weren’t in the stands.

I think Wilder needs to go back to the attitude of overloading on the flanks, pushing teams back that way and taking them apart from the side, rather than pinging it across the park and back over again. This doesn't work when teams sit in with two banks of four. Crossing needs to be better and we never ever play a diagonal ball between the central defenders and full backs to get in behind teams because our strikers have no pace (hogan aside)

I think the point is more about how many on here seem to have chucked the towel in this evening. Personally I thought the fans stuck with them right to the end today, chewed finger nails and torn hair aplenty. :(

We'll be back for more on Friday too.
