On Sky's coverage of Friday's match, they claimed that we haven't lost a game we were winning at half time for five years. That is some record! Was the last time we did this the Semi Final against Hull City in April 2014?

Not much of a consolation as we were 3.0 up with 8 mins left against a team in the same division whereas Hull were a premier league club 2 divisions higher - I was gutted in BOTH matches !!

Another odd but true fact which is quite incredible to believe

In February 1982 the reigning European Champions and leaders of division 1 (went on to be champions) played a mid week league fixture against struggling Birmingham.
Attendance 24,200 and odd (their lowest crowd of the season).

On the same night there was a league match being played in the bottom tier (4th division).
Attendance 24,400 and odd (highest crowd of the season)

Hard to believe that more people would choose to watch Sheff United in a 4th division match against Bradford compared to the serial winners of almost everything giving, the best team in Europe Liverpool when they played their top flight league fixture against Birmingham.

I remember that and was at the match

When the Australian criminal Ned Kelly was captured, he had sustained 67 bruises and abrasions about his body. These were inflicted by bullets
impacting his armour.

I didn't know that fact either!

There was a film about him in the 70s with Mick Jagger in the title role. It bombed and Jagger made the wise decision to quit acting and stick to being lead singer in some rock n roll band who's name escapes me.

Yes, more at Bramall Lane than at Anfield playing league matches on the same night.
They were top of the league in the top tier and current European champions. We were in the bottom tier (4th division).

Awful Irish accent.

It's some irrelevant statistic you mean, surely?

What has that got to do with anything?

It's a bit like saying, we haven't lost a match where we had sold 40 gallons of Bovril at half-time for 5 years. Totally meaningless.

Why do some football fans cling onto such shite as if it's important? Don't you realise that the media are just making this shit up to see who is impressed by it?

I clicked in this thread, fully expecting the opening post, to read...."Dean Henderson can't catch and keep hold of a football.", I was mistaken.
