Get promoted and £10m is a snip for the lad. £10m should also be chicken feed for the club. Should we get promoted, I’d like to see the club have its shackles loosened a tad regards spending. The club needs to drag itself into the 21st century regards transfer fees. I know Wilder can wheel and deal with the best of them but you’d think the PL fortunes would be put to good use.

No way is he worth £30m yet, he’s similar to Angus Gunn (Championship loan, England U21) and he went for £13.5m. I’d say about £15m at the minute but I can see Man U trying to loan him to the Premier League next season.

After a season in the Prem, Hendo could be seen as a future Man U keeper or get up to a £30m player.

As with all deals, the agreement could be staggered, hence, we pay an initial £12-15million, after being selected for 35-40 games we then pay an additional £5-10million, and should he win an international cap a further amount. Constructing a deal shouldn't prove difficult, and the figures I've selected are arbitrary so use whatever figures you feel reflect Henderson's worth.

It’s essentially a profit making loan. There’s no way we lose money, even if we pay 8 figures.

This is a no lose situation and there aren’t many of those in football.

I can’t see why either Henderson or the club would be interested in making a decision on this until we know which division we’ll be in.

For us, it would only mean we can put a decent offer in if we go up. For him, he’s surely only interested in signing permanently if we’re in the Prem.

If we go up, I’m convinced he’ll be loaned to us again. If not, he’ll be consigned to the legends of SUFC and be at a lower PL club next year.

I will add this.

This lad don’t seem to arsed about material things. He knows he’s fortunate to be in the game, loves playing and I would stick my neck out and say he seems to have fallen in love with the club from the management to the other players to the fans.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he has asked to move here permanent. And although I have no doubt he will become one of the best English keepers, at the moment he is still a young lad with limited Champ experience and a LOT of learning and improvement to go.

Therefore I don’t think we would struggle to put together a deal based on fees, add ins, buy backs and sell ons. Depends if we really are Confident of going up either this year or next.....gradual improvement remember!

I’m hoping...not expecting. I wouldn’t rule it out just yet that’s for sure.
