Angry at Wilder today

For me a waste of time and money...the more worrying aspect however is the amount of deadwood still in the squad
Congratulations to Barnet

It's a waste of money paying to watch a Cup game whilst Wilder is manager. At least 6 changes guaranteed and they just go through the motions. Didn't even bother fielding a full strength side in the last 16 against a PL club last season.

He's a great manager and I wish he'd try harder to put us in a winning position in these games.

We haven't the squad to cope with a Cup run as well as the league, which is why we used the second 11 today. If we'd played more first teamers and a Fleck a Norwood etc had got injured then I'd be fuming. Teams in the PL can still field a strong second 11, but ours isn't one of them. I hate losing today but ultimately its not a bad result to be out of the Cup.

Perhaps the worst fa cup result in clubs history, this put together with madine news as made it a very sad weekend. No doubt wilder will have something to say about the punters attitude or something.

Wilder takes full responsibility for this. Disrespected the competition . Played a crap team and let the paying supporters down. To me it's the first thing he's done wrong at United. I feel like I'm telling my daughter off when I knows she's done wrong but because she's my baby I don't want to. As a result I can forgive him. Please take us up now.

Ps hope Madine nots his next big mistake. For me I don't think it will be . Think it will be a masterclass .

Johnson
Yeah a few of them won't play again for us. They've blown any chance of Wilder calling on them unless there is a serious injury crisis.

I have to say too that I wish we had kept Lafferty and sent Johnson back. If Stevens gets a long term injury we will be struggling.
Johnson was pants - wouldn't put in a tackle - Lafferty far better backup.

Nonsense. We could easily have played 5 first teamers today.

Of course Revolution. We could have played a full 11. But had one got injured or sent off then it would be too big a risk. Its not just about today's match its the extra games we risk the same happening in the future. Now we can have a week off when others have a cup game. I don't like losing today but fully supportive of Wilder making changes today.

but far too many of them just didn't want to know

yes, that is very true, but Wilder has gone on so many times about effort, commitment, running as being a pre-requisite and we frankly did not compete with them.

I am quite prepared to see my side lose, but it's HOW you lose that counts and today was an embarrassment from the majority that played.

I thought I'd never see that type of game from ANY Wilder side - sadly I am wrong.

More work to do - MORE to ship out and bring some more in.

Why don't we have a chance of winning it? Going to watch us in the latter stages of cups are some of the very best days I've had following us.
When was the last 2nd tier team to win the FA cup?

I’d guess a couple in 150 years - so there’s your odds.

Then at least tell the fans so they don't pay out to watch that shit

I didn't. 15,000 others didn't.

Ironically the team he put out was the most common suggested team in the Barnet team thread... people cant habe it both ways.

If Wilder had said we will go full strength, I would've gone. I would do this for all early cup games, but we all know that's not gonna happen.

The Madine effect has begun.
That and a number of very poor performances.
Doubt the board will be that impressed either. We're not in a position to turn down 'easy' money in the Cup.

It was always obvious that we would not use our best team. No one can complain about wasting there money.

If your upset nobody takes the cup seriously, blame the organizers not Wilder.

Wendy put out their best 11 yesterday and lost their best defender to injury; thank CW we got through this training session without any injuries. We learnt a thing or two today we already knew; Couttsy is class and can still do a job for us; Washington is a washout and we need a new Washing Machine up "top of the pitch". Other than that - the Everton lad has a long way to go to put any pressure on Duffy.

Altrincham was worse - sorry. 3 nil on their own patch.

This comes close though.

I’m so glad I didn’t go and watch that today. The 11 players out there just weren’t interested and achieved the result they so richly deserved!!.
They must be in the dressing room now feeling so proud of what they’ve accomplished today!!.
The worrying thing is we might have to rely on some of those players if we get any injuries or suspensions!!. FFS.
Wilder must have learned so much Today. We move on to QPR. UTB

Wilder has shown more disrespect to the FA Cup this weekend than any other manager in English football.

Tottenham brought Harry Kane ON when they were winning 6-0 against a League Two team.

If Wilder does have a go at the fans it will be the beginning of the end for him here, only him to blame for this debacle.

To be fair to Wilder he should be able to play any 11 from the first team squad and expect to beat Barnet. I think Wilder will have learned a lot about his squad today and maybe this performance prompts a few more out and in this month.

And perhaps gives him leverage to go to the board and say "more money please"

Players have let wilder down today .... that side should be good enough to beat a conference team

The fucks I give about this can be counted on the number of fingers of something that has no fingers.

Cup runs are nice to have but this season they are irrelevant.

Chance for fringe players to step up and they didn’t to their detriment.

I'm not the one crying about losing a meaningless game
So making us a laughing stock losing against fucking Barnet is ok
I could a have took losing away to a L1 side that would have been bearable.

Nonsense. We could easily have played 5 first teamers today.

I agree here - it's about playing players in positions that can effect the game.

I refuse to name players, but there are numerous that played today that I wouldn't let anywhere near the 1st team except for 1 game at a time due to suspension or injury.

I'm not saying we played to lose, but Wilder gave Barnet the best chance they could have, and they took it.

I don’t want to get into personal battles with anyone on here. You’ll all see I’m not a regular poster, or a knocker of the club or whatever other type of characters you get on here.

However I need to get it off my chest how pissed off I am and this place is probably the best place for it. I hope people at the club read stuff like this and know how I feel.

The FA Cup is/was the elite club competition, something to be proud of winning or even being able to compete in for the lower league clubs. What happened today will not be forgotten by me if we beat QPR, or the pigs in a few weeks or even if we get promoted.

I think more of the game of football than that. It’s not only us, Man Utd probably started this all them years ago by pulling out to play in some corporate competition overseas, something I’ve never forgotten nor forgiven them for.

Now my own club have done it, shown disrespect to such an extent that I’m ashamed of them. I’m a realist, I didn’t expect the first 11, but I hoped for it. Maybe one or two changes. But that today has really pissed me off and it won’t be forgotten.

Take the piss and call me all the names you like.
