For the three games over Christmas.

And people wonder why attendances are down this year. Talk about pricing the less fortunate out of games.

Remember the days of buy two get one free over Christmas? Or buy two for a discount?

When the tax dodgers are moaning you know it’s too expensive. McCabe out.

Don't forget we had West Brom, Leeds and Wednesday at home in recent weeks as well. With this in mind, the club's decision to make Blackburn a Cat A game is a poor one. This should have been Cat B at best or even a one off £15 anywhere in the ground with kids for a quid on John Street or the Kop if with an adult ticket.

Blackburn fans should also have been offered the same deal.

The club used to be excellent with ticket prices but this season the seemed to have changed their approach

If you think that's bad look at the other clubs mate. We're one of the cheaper ones I believe!

I went into the Club shop today and the price of the stuff in there was enough to buy a decent player a few years back- well Harry could have got a few good uns with it! £30 for a Matalan quality polo shirt that is only different to a Matalan one by way of two tiny swords on it. Then there was an Adidas long sleeved shirt - with what looked like an ironed on United badges that cost £60! There was the odd item more reasonably priced but overall not much

Not that I've at all contemplated, but it's too expensive to not renew my ST with current prices. Same with most if not all clubs.

Or 3 quid and then 3.50 per game on the Kop, 1988 to 1990?

You get 10% discount with a season ticket, win win

£30 a game is just too much. Didn’t realise it had jumped up until I bought a ticket for a mate the other week as have a ST myself that was good value.

I bought my Dad a Christmas present t'other day, can't do anything about Adidas prices but their own stuff, while nice, is very expensive.

And I found where the Brooks munneh went, they've got one of these on all our own stuff, bit posh innit? Moulded plastic tags to hold a label on?

Whatever happened to cat C games?
Can remember the club saying they were to give people/families who can't normally afford it the chance to attend..

And that first sentence you put is what some people use to justify the increase.

I'm surprised no-one has thrown in yet the 'You can't expect the club to provide a proper transfer budget if match day prices don't tally'.

Usually the same people who take the piss out of Wendy for doing exactly that.

thanks - Just had Petronella read your palm - she mentioned something in passing about winning a game of football in May at a place beginning with W ;)

Season tickets were a good price but our on the day pricing this year has been atrocious

I think pretty much every home game this season has been a Category A ticket. Which is a joke especially for games like Preston.

People moaning that £30 per match is too expensive, but still expect us to spend millions on new players.

Presumably we're getting a new money tree at the Lane for Christmas?

There is a balance to be had though between the club spending money on players but not having to price fans out of every match. Plus prices like this hardly entices any new fans to the lane either.

I know, it doesn't make it right does it. Football is totally out of sink with the rest of the economy and what most of us earn. For those that can't afford a season ticket, or can't go regularly, you pay through the nose for it.

Buy a Matalan polo shirt and stick that on, it'd look better than most of the ironed on badges that I say today, and that was to the Adidas stuff - not the official kit granted, but training stuff.

Dear Mr McCabe, please reduce the admission prices by half, allow kids and oap’s to get in for £1. Whilst simultaneously improving the ground, removing the pillars from the kop etc. We also need a new proven striker, 20-30 goals a season please, not too old, or too young, about 25ish. oh an a midfielder or 2, and can you sign that Man U player in goal too.
Please don’t sell players to pay for this, and don’t charge the fans (see above) just stick your hand in your pocket and you pay for it.
If it goes well we’ll thank everyone from Sir Chris to the tea lady, if it goes wrong we’ll blame you, but don’t let that deter you
Thanks
Mr I. Rational

Agree.
My lad had his birthday at the academy in August and as part of that they get a couple of free tickets to a home game. I enquired as to if there was any caveats and the guy said "owt but category A mate". Ok, great.

Get home, look for the cat B/C's, nothing. Preston? Wigan? You having a laugh? Unsure if there is any reasoning behind the categorisation these days versus what used to happen, but on the face of it, the club look to be cashing in on the success if the CW era. I pay on the day for every game, I don't expect to get as good a deal as those who are able to purchase a ST, but what I would prefer is that I didn't get charged £37 quid to watch them against Leeds last year and a mere £33 against Hull. I'm not sure what a fair price should have been, but that wasn't it, and in terms of attracting the floating fan it's a massive turn off, especially considering the laughable categorisation we have this year.
Oh, and guess what SUFC - if I don't go, I don't take my lads, who are force-fed man city for their diet of football in England. The next generation is dwindling for us and many clubs alike, but with the ticketing / pricing arrangemnet as it is, we are shitting on our own doorstep sometimes.

The pricing structure has been shit tho season but wait until we get promoted?. Everton are playing Leicester on New Year’s Day and are charging £43 with kids half price!!. It’s not exactly a glam fixture??.
My point is prices could seriously be a hell of a lot worse.
Merry Christmas to everyone. UTB
