Karl Anthony Uchechuckwu Mubiru, yeh, I feel a make a song up for him competition.

Another forward though, our formation will soon be 1-10 not 4-4-2

Replacement for Adams

That could be a way of looking at it, one attacker with potential for another.

I don't think we can afford luxuries but I'd like us to bring him in and possibly loan him out until January, or if not he'd be a great option to rotate with Clarke. Ideally I'd rather not rely on Clarke as the only big striker, he's likely to miss a few games.

Maybe it wouldn't be such a hard to justify luxury if we get decent money for Adams though. It would depend how much we spent on the other positions.

Completely unnecessary, even if he's a good player. We're rammed in the striker department; the wage money needs to go at the back or in the middle of the park.

He`s not a good player.

One 20 min spell at Vale Park, when he ragged Edgar all over, has fooled everyone into thinking that.

Didn`t score in a 6 month loan spell at Blackpool last season.

Uche Ikpeazu [Watford - Cambridge] Free

says it all.

case closed.............................................again

I would have liked him on a free as we do need pace up there, but he certainly fits into the development and one for the future bracket, and my guess is that Wilder wants players now to hit the ground running and go straight into the team. Ikpeazu isn't that yet and the move to Cambridge will probably be about right for him.

Tom Jones, how do you do that little 'What's the biggest room in your house?...' bit under your avatar?

Yeah, it's a great region - you should go sometime, full of mountains and walks...

(don't blow my cover, sonny Jim!)

Though it's interesting to see who people come up with as suggestions, none of the players ever suggested has ever signed for us have they ?. I just think the heading is a waste of space really, and I speak as someone who has previously suggested players myself. It's bad enough to keep seeing players names as incoming who never materialise. Sorry this transfer window thing gets to me head.

Just a suggestion. Don't know what type of striker he is but know he is one of league 2's better players and has a good goal return. Anybody know a bit about him or seen him play? Is he ready to make the step up to this level?

We've not had a lot of luck over the years in finding goalscorers from the lower leagues - surely it's time we unearthed a gem?

I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him providing we also bring in a proven championship quality striker as well. I'd probably rather have him than Lavery or Hanson

*EDIT* sorry just seen he's been brought up before, albeit a couple of years ago :)

An absolute specimen.

Not bad technically but could tidy up a bit.

Has the potential to be a top player in L1 at least. Should be capable of getting 20 goals there within the next 2 seasons.

Would certainly rather have him than Hanson as the plan B big fucker.

Wouldn't mind having him in the squad and loaning him out. A few more goals one level up and he'd be valuable.

Looks like he may be heading to Scotland, although I have to say, with legs like that, he could be off for a career in Rugby Union! ;)

Just needs to work on his leg power, won't be too far away then...

I remind he ripped us apart in 1 game last year when he played for walsall. But has signed precontract with unnamed club

It was Port Vale, but he terrified our back four. The one you're thinking of was Bakoyoko, who's scored about half his goals against us.

Ah yes it was. I just remember games 1 of those small sides. Everytime he went though the defence was all over the place

Always liked him and if we're struggling for cash then he could definitely be someone off the bench to cause problems and one to develop. We've seem how good he can be at Port Vale.

This thread made me laugh, thanks gentlemen.

Lower league journeyman with a poor goals return, let me see now.....................

Not saying we should sign Ikpeazu but it's very relevant to point out that Jack Marriott only scored 8 goals in L2 last season.

And Uche is younger!

Could Marriott be another Paddy Madden??
