Fighting amongst ourselves before the game

From what I overheard, I don't think it was football related. Although it looked shit and you're right, lots of children around. More of a "domestic" by the sounds of it

The problem getting into the away end at Barnsley is that the alcohol stalls are by the entrance. Loads of people form orderly queues to buy stuff and other fans who just want to get into the stand and then to their seats find it difficult - prevented by the queues.

It's just another poor design of stand - pretty much like South stand at the Lane.

We were in relatively early today, yet it was still rammed underneath - quite simply, there isn't enough room. It was also raining so people just wanted to get under cover.

Too small a space for the numbers required when the stand (like today) was at capacity.

Thinks yourself lucky you didn't get a jab in the kidneys fella!

What a waste of money those specialist flare sniffer dogs were then!

The dog I passed was useless. The handler was shouting at it to lift it's head up as the fans came in but it just kept sniffing the floor :p

As for the wankers in the back of the stand before kick off

Very true. I reached the ground at 11am and had to push my way through queues as soon as I reached the concourse just inside the turnstiles. Hopefully shouldn’t be a problem for Accrington fans next season.

Completely agree...it took us ages to get to our seats and forever to get out.

Theoretically the second closest ground to us, in reality took over two hours to get home. It's a bugger of a place to get out of by car. Usually home from Bramall Lane by 6.30.

“ second closest ground to us”

You live in North Yorkshire ! How does that work ?

Certainly not the second-closest to the Lane, pigs Rotherham and Chessie are closer

It nearly kicked off at the coaches, outside the ground, after the game, some bloke called "Loz" (by his mates), effing and binding and "c" wording at someone stood on the coach of the steps.

Fans eh?

I’ll raise an eyebrow in celebration.

Read his autobiography recently, it was brilliant, he basically knew that being a good looking six footer would get him where he wanted to be, especially in the early days of TV. Lucky enough to be in Lew Grades good books, when Lew was wanting to create TV shows to sell to the USA, and was cast as The Saint, playing a tall, good looking playboy.

He never comes across as a big head and infact puts himself down a lot.

A great read.

Is it the one he was writing just before he died? I've got that one.

Presume they meant in the division.

Who'll be the second closest next season when/if they drop and if Rotherham don't come up in the playoffs? Derby, Leeds or Forest? That's also assuming Huddersfield stay up and the blades don't go up !
