That game left me so enraged it’s untrue!

How many sitters do our forwards want in the past month?

Billy first min vs Fulham
Donaldson at 0-1 vs Fulham
Lundstram vs Ipswich and Sharp’s poor finish to the one hitting the post
Clarke from 2 yards vs Forest
Sharp 2 sitters today (3 if you count the offside)
Donaldson one on ones today
Clarke I can forgive a little as it was self made

They really need to stand up and be counted.

When we’ve needed them they’ve totally gone missing.

One simple finish today despite all the waste of late and we’d be top 6. The forwards should all be out on the grass all weekend practicing their finishing because today bordered on negligent how poor they were.

This is where the season is going to be won and lost and it has been so avoidable.

Raging :D

Someone in the shoutbox said the average age of our strikers was 33.

Sorry, but you’re not gonna do a great deal with that

Kevin Phillips anyone?

I agree we need to buy younger strikers but let’s not put Sharp and Clarke in the glue factory just yet.

The keeper pulled off very good saves from Donaldson with the one on ones. Brooks has the ability to finish those type of chances. Surely he's fit enough for 30 minutes when the game becomes as stretched as it was today.

I don’t disagree with you, but personally I’m encouraged that we created so much today - arguably more than we’ve done in our previous three or four games combined.

Play like that for the rest of the season and we’ve a heck of a chance of top six. Strikers won’t miss chances like that all the time (as we’ve seen all season).

On another day one of Donaldson's chances gets through the keeper and wins us the game. Very unfortunate.

Clarke seems very hesitant to shoot on his right foot. He worked that chance superbly but he had half the net to aim at and if he just puts his right foot through it he scores.

Fleck could've also won it for us at the end which would've been fantastic but it got blocked.

Very frustrating day. Similar to Ipswich but this time we created more, and the draw is a better result. But it's results like this that will cost us a play off place.

We need 2 proper strikers, Sharpe, Clarke, Donaldson, not exactly doing it for us, Evans looks good when he comes on, but that's rarer than Rhodes scoring, and for some mystical reason, Wilder isn't using Brookes??......... and as for Wilson...........im not lowering myself to that.
If were to progress in this league, we need to buy players for this league, I'm all for value for money and looking for gems in the lower league's, but we need 3 or 4 players that can do it in the championship, were crying out for a really good quality striker, forget bargain basement. we also need better delivery, and I like Baldock, but we need better than him and Stevens as our delivery isn't great without Duffy, and on that subject, why the fuck isn't Holmes getting on the field!??
I think it's time u went out and got smashed Chris lad, Peroni might help sort out some of these decisions that suprise the rest of us, came back to this side of the fence, with the rest of the fans and look at it through the eyes you used to use.

It only became stretched after the sendings off - by which time we'd used all our subs :(

Our strikers need replacing in the summer, journeymen in Clarke/Don and declining in Sharp/Evans. We get enough chances created in a typical game, our strikers just miss them. Biggest problem we have.
Our strikers needed replacing in January, one good finish (out of 5) today and we would be 5th! Good point though still hanging on, let’s make Monday’s game like a cup tie!!!

I'd largely agree. Sharp and Clarke have done fantastically well for us but we need to be looking to the future - not to casually get rid of these two but as options for when they inevitably get injured, lose form or are suspended. Obviously it's not easy naming a good striker who is available/affordable but we can't keep hoping to pick up bargains such as Donaldson who cost £50k. Mind, he's got more goals this season than Jordan Rhodes who cost £8m, £10m, £12m? (I think they're too embarrassed to admit how much it was). Not easy, this football manager lark.

We've scored 52 league goals so far. Take away Leon's 15 and Billy's 12 and Clayton is next with 5, followed by Lundstram & Brooks on 3. The problem is glaringly obvious.

Our forwards can’t score in a brothel but our centre half smashed in a deflected effort.

Perhaps the strikers should play at the back

Cardiff signed current top-scorer Callum Paterson as a defender in 2017 but Cardiff manager Neil Warnock moved him into a central midfield position in the new year, later stating the reasoning behind the move was 'because he couldn't defend'. Following his move to the new position, Paterson scored a brace against Sunderland on 13 January and found the back of the net three times in March. Clayton in goal? :D

Yes the keeper makes some good saves which on another day he doesn’t. But take Billy’s chances for example, a better player is that half a second quicker and taps them in. Put it down to an off day or just unlucky, but the fact is that we don’t have that quality up top that is needed. We need to sign some proper players and not bargains, frees or Man U reserves who aren’t gonna do owt

I was in the Brentford 'Kop' for yesterday's match and boy did we miss some good chances. I was right behind the goal we were attacking first half.

I've felt for most of the 2nd half of the season that we seem to need 5-10 efforts to score just 1 goal.

Wolves away aside I think we've been the better team for large portions of most matches it's just been the finishing (since Coutts got injured and I'm not sure how much that has had to do with it or just coincidence)...also on a side note, Brentford's fans must be the most apathetic in the entire league. They really didn't seem to care. At full time most just shrugged and muttered 'fair result'. I, on the other hand, was raging at 2 points dropped. I've also just got dry.

We've not won another game we've played brilliantly in, so we need to spunk some moneh!

All we need is a young striker, who has the right values, ethos that fits with Wilder, with pace, who's a great finisher - ideally under 25 so there's resale value - who's prepared to come here for under £10k.

Easy.

Yep. That’s the spirit. Keep shopping in the bargain bins when we quite clearly lack in that department. The attitude of this club and some fans need to change if we want to progress. Otherwise we’ll end up stagnating like fuckin Ipswich

And the alternative?

Undo the work Tufty has done to build the character, personality and technical make up of the squad by spunking £10m and £40k a week on a striker like Jordan Rhodes...

The attitude of some of our fans needs to change and wake up to the strategy Tufty is implementing, rather than what they do in their mums spare room whilst playing Championship Manager...

Something has to give. Probably the wage structure. I’m a character and I’ve got a good personality within a group.

But I’m shit at football.

I’m sure there’s plenty of players that will fit the remit as long as the wage structure is raised a bit.

We don’t need to spend Jordan Rhodes fees or wages to improve
