Thought he was great again tonight. IMO he has been brilliant since he has come into the side, not a like for like replacement for coutts but we have picked up in form and performances since he has arrived. Does everything quickly, great range of passing and makes the right decision 99% of the time.

Don't want to knock Lundstrum but he wasn't the answer when coutts got injured, amazed he was MOM would have put Evans, Clarke, Basham, Stearman and JOC all in front of him tonight.

I thought Evans missed Fleck tonight. Him and Lundstram were both trying to play 'quarterback'. The best we looked was the 15 mins after half time when Lundstram got forward

Yep, he’s added a lot....a good buy so far.

Lundstrum can't do the quarterback, gives it away too much, moves it too slow. Leanord looked good when he came on, if he keeps progressing and with coutts back in the summer he would be my 5th choice midfielder.

Lundstram was much better than Evans today. Defensively in possession and attacking wise. Thought today he showed how good a player he is.

Think evans missed someone who can do his forward passes.

Would be good to see Coutts in with them 2 today. Would be excellent passing display.

I genuinely think Evans and Lundstram look like they coukd both lose a little weight. They aren't as mobile or strong as Coutts. I think Evans has a better range of passing but Lundstram is a better attacking threat

Looking very good and would have had a first team spot at Wolves if it wasn't for their money & Portuguese team. Instant profit i'd say if he only cost £750K as reported.

Very good player with a great first touch and vision !

I'd have put him MOTM ahead of Lundstrum as well.

Disagree but it's about opinions. Lundstrum gets sympathy votes from people because when he came into the side he was replacing a cult hero and it was big shoes to fill. If everyone is fit Lundstrum would get no where near that first 11.

Evans certainly looks the best of the January buys.

Wigan fans said he was their best player first half of the season.

The midfield two of Evans and Lundstram was the weak link tonight, not helped by Duffy having an off game. They both consistently failed to link the defence and attack, meaning we relied on going long too often and let QPR come back at us.

The best link-up play happened when Leon dropped really deep and then brought others into the game.

I thought he was poor at times and probably one of the worst performances he has put in so far considering he has had a week off.

I agree must have been watching a different game to other people. He continually lost their midfield runners, got turned too easily and was at fault for the goal. 10 minutes later he did what he should have done for the build up to the goal and took one for the team. Very good on the ball but off the ball defensively needs to read the game better. He looked more comfortable when Leonard came on. Looks more suited to the Fleck role than the Coutts quarterback role. Problem is so does Lundstram and that was our problem in midfield without the ball tonight.

I think that’s the thing which Evans is missing right now. That forward eye of a needle pass.

I think he’s been a good signing and was clearly signed to do the coutts role.

For lundstrams many positives he can’t play the role in the same way a coutts and evans is a closer match for that good control and speed of passing to get us moving imo.

Solid deliveries too. It’s fleck and Evans as the 2 for me.

Sure it was Lundstram who gave the ball away for their goal

Our keeper kept us in it, so Blackman was my MOTM. But, as always, it's all about opinions.

Lundstram had the foresight to be steaming in behind Leon for the second goal, which was unstoppable.

Evans had some good moments too, I think he will grow into the role.

I thought it was the best performance from Leonard as well, gave us some "bite" when we needed it.

Blackman MOM for me too ,I thought Leon was poor ,and should have made way ,not Sharp.

This is the same Lundstrum who didn't win a header or a 50/50, didn't track his man and gave the ball away which lead to the goal?

Midfield went awol second half and we were chasing shadows (though too many flat feet to do much chasing). We missed Fleck big time and failed to cover as much ground as their midfield who were much more agile, looked fitter and but for some woeful decisions in the final third (plus excellent defending from our back-line) they would have got at least a point tonight.

Yes Lundstram did but Evans was turned inside out by Freeman and was left treading water as Freeman ran away from him unopposed through our half and got his shot in unchallenged. All Evans needed to do was take him out.

Biggest moment for me was Freeman getting in behind Evans for the goal, should have taken him out.

Evans is definitely the closest we have to Coutts, and as others have said Lundstram suits that role better than Fleck's as well.

Thought Duffy was completely pressed out the game and unassertive. QPR matched us up and made the game scrappy which made it hard for Evans and Lundstram to play out and Duffy to find space.

Why did he dive ?

Normally the case with our new signings, wilder sets the bar so high for our players fitness wise it takes time for new players to reach it.

This.^ Evans looks great on and off the ball but seems to go missing during the latter stages of the game. Once he's up to speed he's going to be a big asset for us.
