CONFIRMED Lee Evans on his way to the Blades?

A quick google of his name (I knew nothing about him before) suggests a bit of an attitude problem at Wolves. He had to be warned a few times about his use of social media - apparently tweeting his annoyance at not being played. Hopefully he’s grown up a bit since then, as he’ll have to work very hard to get into our starting XI.

More Atheletic than Bash?
I don’t believe there is such a thing, nobody runs more or works harder than Bash

Disagree Bash has good stamina and has good fitness but a great athlete no, he’s hasn’t got exceptional pace or tremendous strength.

Be rate, Chris loves a good social media picture and post ask brooks.

Fuck me sudeways....when will some learn?
He’s already done more than enough to never be classed s having failed. And that’s just for starters.
Who are you to make such a statement to suggest you are better qualified?

Pretty much like Wenger saying he's gonna sign Raheem Sterling for the goalkeepers position.

Doesn't take a genius to work out he'll concede a bucket load.

Well that’s a load of tosh. What relevance has that to your original remark.
Leonard can play full back. Fact.

A couple of wolfs on 365 who I asked...

Never really cemented a place here. He's looked decent at times, he can certainly pick a pass and when he can bothered, he tries hard enough defensively. But I don't think anyone's ever worked out where to play him - doesn't offer enough going forward to be pushed on, isn't really someone to park in front of the back four - and he can definitely tend towards the "Hollywood" more often than necessary. He's done very well for Wigan by all accounts, but then they're the best team in L1 (as we were in 2013/14) and making that next step isn't something that he's proven he can do as yet.

We've comprehensively moved on, he'd struggle to be 5th choice here now and if/when we go up then competition there will only increase further. Time for him to give it a go elsewhere.

He's often given me the impression that he thinks that he's all that and a bag of chips. He's not. Maybe with a proper man-manager he'd improve i.e. someone who will kick his arse regularly when it's needed. He's decent but a mid-table championship midfielder at best.

Also, just to add, Wolves fans in my experience are even harsher judges of players than us. Given there's some praised mixed in there, I think we can be confident that Evans would be a very solid acquisition.

Read some of the views on Evans from Wolves fans.

It’s almost like reading views on Samir Carruthers.

It seems Lee Evans is very talented, has a bit of swagger but has an attitude thinking he’s better than he is.
They say he has potential to be a really good player but far too inconsistent, so they reckon he’s probably average Championship level.

The comments below that article are the most negative I have read since the Adkins days

Idiots the lots of them. I'd wager not one has any experience of running a business, especially a football club yet they clamour for the Board to show "ambition" i.e. throw money at it. As demonstrated only a few miles away from S2 - throwing money at signings certainly doesn't guarantee success. The easiest two things to do are spend other people's money and be a critic - both of which those simpletons are doing very effectively.

I wonder if they'd be of the same opinion if the club did spend big, didn't achieve promotion and then had to deal with an even larger operating loss, resulting in assets having to be sold.

£750,000 deal agreed according to Pete O’Rourke on Twitter, usually relaliable. Just waiting for a medical and personal terms to be agreed. Maybe Evans and Wilson to be announced together.

The talk about how we should have millions because we get 25,000 a week show how out of touch they are.

That was from the vicar of Thorne, I think. I'm not going to say anything else as I'll offend people and I can't be arsed dealing with their outrage.

Fleck doesn’t have to play. He has to earn his shirt like everyone else. Jonny Lundstram is two-footed. Many teams have two right footers in central midfield.
The only time you don’t play Fleck is if he’s a bit fatigued or we need to give another player a chance in a cup game like the game against Ipswich last Saturday. We have no one else in the squad like him, yet.

and Tufty agree's with this ;-)

Much better than their reviews on Leon Clarke.

General consensus on the Wolves forum seems to be he’s a talented player, with a great passing range, that on his day can look pretty silky. Most believe he is destined to carve out a decent career for himself at this level. However, he seems to be wildly inconsistent and has a bit of an ego / attitude problem. Wolves are throwing millions around now and they say he’s part of their past.

To be honest, I like the sound of this signing. I think our group is a good, very hard working bunch that bring the best out of each other and will collectively bring most egos down to earth. Provided he has the talent I can see Wilder making a good player out of him. My only worry is that his attributes sound very similar to Lundstram’s (decent at keeping possession, not particularly mobile), but we will see.
