But Wilder's fell out with the board and is joining the massive, flecks off to burnley or celtic, brooks is fucking off to Liverpool and the prince is packing up and selling off. Sell sell sell club, always in Wednesdays shadow...at least from what I've heard on here:)

Agree, very much deserved

Will be interesting to see if the new deal leads to a drop in form.
Once the financial future is gauranteed then some pro players lose their motivation.
Still find it hard to believe how well Leon is playing and he always gives 100% effort. Well done!

This year just get's better and better...good enough for two or three seperate threads methinks ...

I don't think anyone thought we'd be extending the 3 year contract we signed him on did they?

Just Duffy to go now.

Truth be told, I thought we'd loan him out 6 months into him signing for us. Never been more positively surprised by a player.

Duffy is the big one. What he brings to us is very hard to replace.

Bit of a stupid decision to give him such a long one, he'll be 35 wen it's over.

Maybe it's the only way to persuade Clarke? It gives him security, he's clearly come alive and looks in great shape, so what if we get another couple of seasons where he excels? It's all relative, and if securing Leon to this club coincides with our progress then it makes sense.

Very pleased with this - Clarke's earned it. He very much seems like the player who has come to appreciate what he's got after becoming a journeyman.

Yes, 2 more years does mean he'll be old - but as is proven with both him and Wilder, if he doesn't perform he'll be out of the team and if he's unsettled someone will come in for him.

If he continues to perform like he has for the last 9-10 months then everyone's a winner.

!

I reckon Leon gets his motivation from things like being top scorer in a division many said he wasn't good enough for, and sticking it to the pigs who taunted him with "wensdy reject" on his way in.

It just seemed like he'd never get fit. And he didn't really until the last few weeks of the season. Since then... wow.

If Leon's looked a little out of sorts last couple of games he's a cert to have a spring in his step tomorrow. Hat trick nailed on I reckon. Can't have Harry Kane (who?) usurping him in the scoring stakes can we.
