Match thread for the upcoming fixture v. Ipswich Town

Let's all have a fans love in with them and join in slagging Norwich off.

Might complete with the upcoming love in between Bolton and the Pigs that is no doubt brewing.

It's my birthday and I'm dragging Mrs M to BDTBL (well she did say we could get rid of the kids for the weekend and I can do whatever I want!!) so if we could all be on our best behaviour!!

Well this is awkward. I normally pop round to see her while you're at the match

Let’s not. Far more animosity towards Ipswich, even accounting for the recent frustration vs Norwich. The repeated crimes against football instigated by Mauricio Tarrico are ones that I neither forgive nor forget.

Roygbiv will undoubtedly do a much better job, but listening to some of the Ipswich fans they seem to be hoping for the best, fearing the worst.

They're talking of a 7 man defence and McCarthy already getting excuses lined up at this afternoon's press conference.

They're also debating whether McGoldrick should start up top as he's now apparently fit after injury.

They seem to be very pleased Sharp hasn't been playing but don't seem to realise the potential impact Coutts' absence might have.

Wilder was full of praise for McCarthy and his staff (the contrast with the other East Anglian team couldn’t have been made clearer) and I think it’s going to be a decent game.

I’d assume with Freeman fit Basham will now be in midfield instead of Lundstram.

Haha!

I like your stuff. Very amusing. I agree with your MoM too. He never gives the ball away.

Lundstram will play tomorrow and he’ll impress. He did well at Forest but many fans close their eyes when we lose.

I'm now that excited about footy being back tomorrow, I've swapped my shift so I'm now off work tomorrow!!!! And to celebrate now....20171013_195854.jpgPERONI XL's! Simply Lovleh!

Us and Ipswich are two of just three teams in the division yet to draw a game this season. 1-1.

Just a thought – Stearman was back on the training pitch 2 weeks ago. Might he be a surprise inclusion straight back in tomorrow?

I thought he did well, but I think that Carruthers is very unlucky not to play more regularly. Would like to see a Bash, Carruthers Fleck midfield IF Duffy doesn't play.

At last back in action after the international break, and this afternoon the visit of Ipswich. They have had a great start, but hopefully they'll have one eye on the upcoming game against Norwich! Many predicted them to struggle though this season, so at this stage it's still difficult to be sure who will last the course.....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Freeman returning for the injured Baldock?

Same team as against Forest otherwise?

Or get Clarke and Brooks back in?

Another difficult game of course, but also a real chance to go top. Not that it matters at this stage, but while we remain in these sort of positions, belief will grow. Feel fairly confident though for this afternoon, and as long as we play our 'usual' game I reckon a 2-0 Blades win.

Would like this game to be the polar opposite of the game against their East Anglian neighbours, nuff said.
