I am, it's a game of football and people need to grow the fuck up. This won't stop happening any time soon and making it an excuse for knobheads being knobheads is part of the problem. As much as the goal wasn't offside, fair comment that JOC had dived to win the free kick in the first place.

I thought we were the better side for the opening ten minutes, they grew into the half and then bossed it after the goal. We rushed too much in possession, particularly in the middle third, and ultimately didn't quite create enough. Typical fighting spirit almost snatched us a point. 1-0 probably fair.

So far we are not out of place and will enjoy some good results and some competitive games against the big spenders, and suffer the odd drubbing. I'm fine with that.

Referees better than League One. Linos much worse.

Cheers Roy, no danger of trolls tonight I hope! Incredibly fair assessment by Boro fans. I think they actually ran out of steam tbh. We grew in stature, but lack that real killer punch unfortunately. 1-0 away to the divisions favourites and one of the big spenders is not too bad. We can't win em all. Many will do much worse there than us. Keep the faith.

Last season it didn't matter as much if we underperformed in the first half and relied on a Wilder roasting (or whatever he does at half time).

Now it DOES matter - time for players to organise themselves ON THE PITCH during the first half, strong team spirit and strong leadership required, you see we can't resurrect in the second half against teams like Boro. same as we could against teams last year,

there is a reason Boro's players cost more than Rotherham's .....

in athletics they call it 'dwelling in the blocks'.

Fair comments. on the whole I think it was the right outcome, especially the first half where after the first 15 minutes we didn't really turn up.

Second half was more encouraging and there will be better teams with bigger budgets that come away from boro on the back of a hiding this season.

The treatment ched got was what he'll get at most grounds this season because the majority will only remember the conviction and not the acquittal. Thought he looked a better option than both billy and Leon on that cameo and has to be considered for Tuesday night.
