Rather timely this with the upcoming arrival of Foxy/Linz Jnr., I saw an article in this month's 442 about people naming their kids after their favourite footballers and we got talking about people who've named their kids after Blades.

We know of two off the top of our heads: one who named his daughter Toni after TC and one who named his daughter Simone Tracey.

I reckon there'll be quite a few Billys and Chrisses born in the Sheffield area in around nine months time, a smattering of Johns, Keirons and Pauls and maybe even the odd Alan

Do you know anyone named after a Blade?

A bloke I know years ago had a girl and called her Toni Bladeon,I still see his Mrs at the games

When the kids were little and i won them both a goldfish,i called them Deano and Jock

All my dogs have been named after blades players. And cats but they've all been killed by jags the husky or jackals in the forest.

However my girlfriend is pregnant now and I've tried to think of the most difficult names for her. She's Bulgarian and we live here. I've got Siobhan if its a girl or caolan if its a boy. Lol. The former based on difficulty only as I can't remember a Siobhan in a blades shirt (although she will be)

I had a cat called Bruce from when Steve Bruce was manager.

One of the kids cats is called Blade.

This young man is called Morgan

Lescinel Jean would be a great name.

I named my first born Ford Escort because he was conceived in the back of a car, it was parked in a pub car park at the time, but I thought naming him Queen Victoria would be a bit weird for a lad

Not a Blades player's name but I know someone who was christened with the middle names of Sheffield United :)

I remember something a few years ago where some bloke called his kid "Devlin". I don't even think the phrase "chav" was around then but I think he would have been nailed on to be one.

My son is Joseph James after Mr Shaw and Mr Hagan. It was a toss-up between that and Alan Anthony.

My Grandsons are James Joseph (deliberate) and coincidentally William Joseph - so Billy is now commemorated in my family along with 2 of our greatest.
