Please bear with me for a minute.

I've been booked to go on a stag do to Dublin, all paid for long ago and fully looking forward to going. All was well until united found pep wilder and the relentless assault on the league ended up with united winning the title. Now my problem is that the stag is on the 30th April, clashing with my beloved blades lifting the trophy. Now I'm aware that this being a blades forum I'm likely to get some abrupt answers and I understand that but he is a very good friend, would appreciate some opinions
Go it would be rude not to.Can I have your ticket :)

Tell him you slept with his missus.
Tell him his missus slept with the best man, that should put a halt to the proceedings or at least a delay. That way you see the trophy lifted and keep your mate.

Don't ever book anything on a Saturday during the football season ever again. You've learned your lesson the hard way. Any of your mates that do silly shit like that aren't true mates. Tell the bride to be the groom has shagged her mum, it'll soon be called off. And video it to get her reaction too. :D

... The game is on Sunday.

I had the same dilemma . My daughters hen do clashed with the home match at Scunthorpe. Fortunately we were only in Derbyshire, she's a Blade and had no objections to me going to the match so off I popped to the home game before resuming the festivities on the Saturday night.

Stag - then can also celebrate with Blades and see the Trophy after open top bus outside the Town Hall when you're back

A completely inconsiderate ringpeice that's who. My thought is in 5 yrs looking back at this time I think I'd regret not being at the lane more than I would Dublin

Dilemma? This is not a dilemma, a real dilemma is hoping the mighty Fleetwood don't win because your mighty billion point chasing club might lose to Peterborough.

Plenty of Irish bars knocking about, take control Wilder fashion.

Easy. If you're a true friend you'll be there for him.

Horrible situation friend :(, I guess you've got commitments that need to come first. Unless its possible to catch a later flight and meet up .. erh probably at the end of the party

If United are in your blood there have already been Northampton, Vale, MK and home to Bradford to sing, dance, dress up and get wasted. Chezzie is just another one on the list - except we get given a bit of metal. Other than that it will be much the same, except the opposition is the least challenging.

If you need a bit more fun there is the Peace Gardens and open top bus on Tuesday - get together with a bunch of mates for that.

If Sunday was when promotion or the title were decided it would be difficult for you. But it's not even our first home game as Champions.

This season has been magnificent and the celebrations have been mind blowing. Sunday will not exceed what has gone before - it is a family day when the players carry their children around and we all show how grateful we are.

Then we move on.

The Magic is Back - at last - and there will be many more days like this.

If he doesn't want to go as well for the greatest day of his entire life, then he ain't a good enough friend and probably a secret pig.

Does this mean there's a ticket going spare? ;)

Plenty of tickets on sale in Chesterfield pal.

Tell him you'll be over there to meet up with him about 8pm on Sunday ....... after having watched the sexy RAWW lift the trophy !!

Dublin will always be there ...... but this might be the last Champions trophy we lift in your lifetime ( I'm a committed grumpy old cynical bas**rd ) o_O:rolleyes:;)

ScoobBlade Go to Dublin. Absolutely no way you should let your mates down on a stag do in one of the best cities in Europe.
It's only football....100 minutes and a division one trophy presentation.

Go to the stag do, but to make up make sure you go to the parade instead...or maybe fork out for the champions dinner instead.

Now that I have imparted some valuable life advice....can I have your ticket please?? Ta in advance!

Doubt it. As I read it, the stag was booked well before tickets came out. Unless he's booked the stag then bought the ticket without realising there's a clash.
