Why can't I ....

....shake the feeling we will lose today ? Is it because Long is playing (although tbh I don't mind him as a keeper)?
Is it because the pitch is shit(even though we have enough to combat this)?
Is it because with the amount of us going and an ex pig as a manager they will play above themselves ?
Is it because it's live not he mighty Slovak tv ?
Or is it just because I am a blade and they always seem to piss on my parade!!!!
Think I am now getting promotion jitters for the first time this season . Have always said to people at work ( Forest or Derby fans mainly) that as long as we go up I don't care if its first or second , but this week it's hit me , l f**king do , big time . We deserve to go up as champions as we have been the best side , end of ! Please for once lads make it happen starting today and help me on the road to getting the sh*t kicked out of me because I will be this lot at works worst nightmare !!!
On the plus side I will have a good beach body for holiday this year as the worry up til the end of the season will see the pounds drop off!

Is Long playing? I've not seen it confirmed anywhere that he is? I've got a feeling it will be a tight game, just hope the luck is on our side today.
 
It's as much as case of holding our nerve as fans as it is for the players. You're not alone mate, I'm having a bit of a wobble and we're justified to do that, because this is the Blades after all!

As for today specifically, it's not bit of a Banana skin. Bradford and Millwall in the coming weeks are known tests, Oldham may be, they may not. And I too am apprehensive about Long, much prefer Moore - although I'll still be behind the lad of course.

Up the Blades, get it done today lads!
 
What's this you say about long playing. I've seen elsewhere the scare about Moore. Can you fill me in with the detail. Been out of it all week.
Oh and don't worry all will be well come 5pm.

I think it's mainly cos you're a miserable pessimistic twat.

As for Long playing, you're winding yourself up in a land a make believe.

Oldham might be a tougher test than you think.
They have lost once in 8 games scoring 9 and conceding 9.
1-1 anybody.
 
Shake a bit harder or use the other hand....you'll soon lose that feeling and relax!

Typo! Should read "a bit of a banana skin", giving them more credit. Not an easy one today by any means.
 
Last I heard Moore had been training all week. Anyone know any different?

They have improved since Sheridan took over - 7 wins and 4 draws out of 15. 4th best defence in the league. 1 home defeat (Bradford) since he took over. Crap pitch. Ex-pig will wind them up. Not a walkover but Wilder's pre-match interview tells me he will send the red and white wizards out in the right frame of mind.

Unfortunately I have the same horrible feeling about today. I've been feeling far too confident about going up recently so something's got to bring me back to earth and i fear today might be just that.
 
People have these "feelings" every week, its understandable to an extent, nobody expects we will automatically go there and win but come on have some confidence, of course we may lose and the pitch is a bit of a leveller but have a quick look at a picture of Wilder, Knill and the league table I am sure you will start to feel better, I have us to win 1-4 pn sky super six :-o

Someone asked a hypothetical question on here the other day about what people would do if Long did play. Since then people have taken that to mean he is playing and some have even invented an injury for Moore, despite the fact he's trained all week.
 
its the blades way 4 points clear with a game left and some blades would not be convinced expecting a points deduction .sit back enjoy the ride and soke up the pleasure that this blades team has given us back
 
I feel we could lose, then again we might win..could even be a draw...funny old thing feelings....

 
Just a reminder, if we lose we'll still be at least 7 points ahead of mighty Fleetwood, with 7 games to play.
 
I went down to BDTBL yesterday for my beam back ticket and bumped into Moore in the car park as he was going to get on the team bus. I asked him if he was fit for today and he said he was and don't believe everything you read on the forums.
 
if Moores fit he plays , wish I was able to be there today in Oldham , instead having to have a bbq in 20c sun with lots of beer , its hell absolute hell
 
I had a few pints with Moore last night at the team hotel and he said he was super fit, although he looked very unsteady on his feet as he staggered off to bed at 3 this morning!

Without wanting to make this into a thread about George Long, I completely disagree. Great shot stopper but there's far more to being a keeper than that. He has no voice, doesn't organise his defence, doesn't command his area or come for crosses which puts so much pressure on the defence. I dread the day he has to play for us again but hopefully he'll get another club at the end of the season.

Way over the top reaction,hes as good as any keeper in this league, not all keepers are gobby, , hes still here as CW sees something in him your missing
