My original 22,222 seems to be a tad conservative now.

With your permission, 26,262

Looking forward to meeting the temporary new occupants of the empty seats on my Row II Gangway A to B

Looks like i need to amend,so the formula goes like this.

5500 away end but only 500 used,so 5000 off 32,602 equals 27,602,minus netted seats and single seats not used in ground.

New estimate 26,700

Oh and Man Friday will run out of chicken curry.

In the spirit of being an awkward twat I am changing my estimate from 22,001 to 25,969.
Thankyou.

I don't know anything about merging threads but this may be a time to do it. I am interested in the predictions made for this game and am willing to donate five pints of hand pulled beer lager or cider from my local hostelry (Rising Sun at Nether Green - Abbeydale Brewery Real Ale Pub to the winner) I am sole arbiter of what the prize means so none of that five pints of the bottled brown ale at 11% and £10.60 a pint thank you. I may be willing to transfer the prize to a pub of your choice at my discretion, so no Canterbury Blade I am not travelling to the Old Bell to sort it if you win.

So far we have the following and due to their estimations I am willing to accept amendments to Harry's Game , spongebobblade 1973Blade ,LYDON cahill ,ChipButtyBlade and From the pig end . and because he must be thick SwissBlade .

Wow a name check, thanks mate! However, there isn't an Old Bell in Canterbury. There is however, The Eight Bells, and its a lot different from The Rising Sun. It has the last outside loo in Canterbury and I regularly luxuriate in its old fashioned ness, Kim the landlady has seen better days (though is supported by her 7 children) and is a welcoming pub, apart from Ladies Darts night when it is best to avoid and head to The Unicorn instead.

I say 24,567 and if I win how about settling up in Southend? That pub near the other station that's got the turntables in a pulpit, some excellent anarchist stickers in the gents and decent moderno - punk looking barmaids. Shall we say midday?

25,006.

I now live within stumbling distance of the Rising Sun too, so happy to pick up the pint!

Final xls of entries. Good Luck everyone. See you all later today.
bloody hell snowman, that looks like it's taken some putting together. Well done. I'll pop round to the rising sun to pick up my winnings later in the week ;-)

Be interesting to see how many games get a bigger gate than us today. Only game outside the Premiership guaranteed to beat us is the pigs at Newcastle.

Villa are at home too, would suspect they'll get more.

Would think there would be over 25k at Wolves too.

That really is great support from our city neighbours. Taking 300k to Toon and then the 25k that can't get tickets are travelling down to the Midlands because they are just so massive
.
Respect to the Blue and White heroes. If only we could be more like them........

If it is the one I am thinking of it is ancient dark and dingy and on a corner opposite the walls of the cathedral. It sometimes has tables and chairs outside from which my cousin when pissed, shouts at French tourists. Sometimes it has a selection of good real ale.
