Yes, McNulty is worse than Done. Neither are good enough. Wait 'til one or other of them scores sometime in the next few months, though. They'll be world-beaters....
McNulty has scored once in 4 starts and 5 sub appearances.

Done has scored twice in 18 overall appearances.

Don't see enough data to suggest one is more effective then the other. Only that neither is scoring this season as much as you'd like.

Evans has 5 in 13 starts and 1 sub.

Clarke has 3 in 5 starts and 5 sub.

Absolutely nothing to do with Bladey origins?

You've re-written history on that one. CW is a Blade and proud of it and often mentions the spirit under Harry. Where do you think the 'purpose' comes from?

I take your point on Morgs, who will never make a decent coach, but please don't try to airbrush out CW's Bladey Blade credentials, as it is those that make him the man he is.

What you have to understand that there are no shades of grey to Pinchy.

If a manager or player with United connections does well, that's nothing to do with Bladeyness. That's because they play proper football.

If a manager or player with United connections does badly, that's because of Bladeyness and hoofitis and so on.

The only exception to this rule is Dave Bassett. There must be no acknowledgment at any time that Dave Bassett was in any way successful. Losing 5-0 at home to Oldham in Billy McEwan's last match in charge was apparently preferable to the back to back promotions and 4 year spell in the top flight that followed.

Of course, the truth is there are shades of grey. United are not primarily a long ball team now, but occasionally do use the long ball, as all teams do. Barcelona play a possession game where they keep the ball on the floor which is very successful, but as David Weir and Nigel Adkins and Nigel Clough showed us, that style can be tedious to watch if not done well, and in Weir's case will get you to the bottom of the league.

But to admit shades of grey would be to destroy an internet persona that has been painstakingly put together for years, for reasons that no one can comprehend.

Notice how Wilder brought Lavery on ahead of Done today. After starting Clarke.

A sign of things to come?

Will he soon be 4th choice?

I think he will bring Done back into it on Tuesday, he's just going through a bad patch but still putting the work in, he will come good again.

In hindsight it would've been better to bring Done on to protect the left side. But he brought Lavery on because he wanted a second goal, as he's a bigger threat. And we should've had that goal. Lavery might have got it himself if Billy picked his head up.

Don't think Done will be back in on Tuesday. Clarke/Lavery 50/50.

He's had a bad patch throughout his career apart from one season. Wilder has his number. By the end of January he's toast, as us golfers say...

I think Done will start and today was about keeping fresh legs for tuesday. Lavery to start in the cup.

Today was about recognising that Runaround Done is not good enough.

Still, carry on wishing on a star that your terminally limited trier might come good...

See Wilder's last interview (pre Charlton). I want a better Done, Sharp, Coutts, EEL etc. I haven't seen 'em yet. Oh, and for the whole [to be] greater than the sum of its parts.

If he's lucky. Leon is coming back after a lengthy injury. Like anyone else, he needs time. As we saw in the cameo against Chez, and as he proved at Cov and Bury, he is infinitely better than Runaround Done.

Today certainly was a day of recognition . Recognising that our leading goal scorer is woefully ineffective when he isn't paired up with Done .

Leave Billy with all the work and he won't score .

Done back Mr Wilder . The overwhelming majority of us know it makes sense .

Typical Bladey Blades. Affinity to a useless article who runs around a lot and tries hard is far more important than the interests of the team as a whole.

Natt Montdomery, we ❤️ your abject fucking mediocrity...

I think Lavery may eventually replace Done, but his fitness will have to improve. You need at least an hour at full pelt in a Tufty team. No passengers! Sharp or Clarke for the other place.

Think your views on 'Leon' will prove to be as astute as your views on Weir, misguided. Let's just assume you've had a brandy too many and feel a little tired. Are you an angry drunk Pinchingtons, you always seem so bitter the later you're allowed to post ;).

We still haven't seen anywhere near enough of Sharp and anyone else to decide that Done's indispensable.

They were up against a pair of good centre halves today, and a defence considerably better than most we'll come up against.

We also didn't give Clarke good enough service. Very few good crosses.

In another game where I expect us to dominate possession on Tuesday, Done shouldn't be starting. He'd be my last choice behind Chapman as well as Clarke and Lavery.

I'm looking forward to seeing Lavery start a game or two. He looks quicker and stronger than Done, but we've not seen enough to know about his all round game.

But can he play with Sharp?
It's limited but on what we have seen so far the answer is no. Today they were nowhere near the same wavelength (or each other for that matter) Not saying Dones the answer but we look more dangerous with him alongside Sharp

Typical Pinny Pinchy . Complete bollox in the face of reality . :D:D:D

Shall we compare Leon's record with that of Runaround Done? I want the best for my club. I don't give a fuck who the current fans favourite is.

I'm not tired at all but I am half way through my second bottle of Graffigna Centenaro Malbec from the San Juan Region of Argentina. It's fucking delicious and I'm fine.

We're 15 games unbeaten and my knees are not jerking. The performance was excellent today. Occasionally you concede in the last minute. It happens, but we were the better team by far. The hysteria is ludicrous. Were people really resigning themselves to the play-offs?

NBWs

If Done's the answer it's a fucking stupid question...

Not too fussed about Leons record, the star of Coventry and Bury doesn't get me all that giddy to be honest. I don't get over excited about past glories either and I definitely want the best for my club, I just don't think it comes in the guise of a slow, lazy, one dimensional lump with a poor first touch. Sort of goes against all you hark on about singing the praises of this type of player.

No meltdown from me after the result today, the only disappointment was the timing of the equaliser but the unbeaten run goes on, we have a fucking ace manager so the last thing I need to do is have a row on here.

Enjoy your plonk, I heard the Argies piss in it when they know it's being exported to the UK

We've seen more than enough of Sharp to recognise that's he's our best goal scorer by a country mile

As for his partner upfront ..... well Sharp appears to do very well indeed when it's Done he's partnered with . And , love it or hate it , that is a very real statistical fact
