Firstly - we certainly are not expecting a 'comfortable home win', I honestly can't remember the last time I expected that (I occasionally expect very uncomfortable ones)

Secondly - "amazing to think 13000 for a third division game!" Seems a strange comment on the eve of a third division game that will have at least 19000 in attendance?

Cheers Roy

I always love these roy! think it gives an excellent and accurate insight into the opponent. Lets hope tomorrow, we keep the momentum going and get those three crucial points.

I think they are referring to 13,000 at Vale Park.

Yeah, still think it's weird to act astounded by such an attendance in the third division when your team is just about to go and play in front of a much bigger third division crowd.

But you're right.

13000 for a third division game.....a few years ago..and certainly in the 3rd division promotion season under basset that would have been more than respectable.......given our current levels of support far exceed that... Would anyone care to offer a view as to why??

We used to get less than 13000 at home games. . . And in a higher division.

So much is in our favour I'm really nervous

I think that's their only win at the Lane, isn't it?

Probably says more about the general pessimism of United fans that I can't remember any of the many wins then, but can recall clearly the horror of our only defeat to them (prior to Saturday).

Unlike some other clubs their away support are usually a decent bunch, it's their home fans who seem to be a bunch of knuckle dragging Neanderthals, been there on four occasions drawn two lost two and been attacked on three occasions.

Visits to the likes of Burslem are one of the reasons I've more or less packed in away games.

Thanks Roy / Richard. Let's get behind the lads tomorrow and roar them to victory.

Richard of York ..

So it is Roy then?

Cheers for this roychard fandagles....

We look solid organised and a threat, but no Sheffield Utd fan expects an easy win, when they play us they have to be on top of their game and all the opposition teams normally are at the lane, tight game, possibly 1/1..

I was living and working in Stoke at the time and went with a work colleague who was a Scarborough fan. We went in the Railway Stand and as we got to the top of the steps, a steward asked us if we were home or away fans. My mate turned round to me and asked "which one am I?" We went in with the away fans of course, but it's hard to imagine that level of lack of segregation these days.

I've just had a flash forward. In a couple of years time you'll be researching these from the forums of England's leading teams, and we'll be responding to them without self-deprecation or irony - just sheer excitement at the match to come.

Post View from Chelsea - "I fort deez lot played in blue n white stripes chap. Who's dat den?"

"Nah mate these are the one who hate the babble blowers, Wednesday are the blue n white. They get 100k gates"

Mr Fandango, your service to this forum is a labour of love that all Blades appreciate and welcome. It adds a rounded and amusing view of this world called football.....

As for Richard.....fandango by name, fandango by nature?
