Just listened to Wilders interview from earlier today and you didn't get the impression anyone was about to leave and surely Gidings would have asked if so? I reckon this is probably just a rumour, but I hope he has gone on loan, time to move on.

Who will be the next victim for an obsessive witch hunt? Hussey? No, you rated him. Who else is close to FLN.

Show me a post where I said Hussey is good. I've only said he looks to have quality but is edgy defensively.

There's been no witch hunt. It was supposed to be last season, but never materialised did it? You even acknowledged yourself that I've been fair with Brayford.

Brayford's been a highly relevant and debated subject for a while now, of course I'm going to post a fair bit on it when I have long held strong views (which an increasing number are agreeing with btw).

We'll see....

Reports: Burton Albion have made a loan move for Sheffield United full back John Brayford #bafc #sufc #twitterblades

"Also has to be said that with these two signings we're doing exactly what we've been asking for - signing the best players in our division. Duffy and Hussey are both up there in their respective posIt ions"

We'd still be paying a large portion of his wages I'd expect so the calls to spend ten grand a week on others is likely to go unheeded.

in true Brayford style, I'm summing it up with some rock lyrics and a youtube vid:

not now john
we've got to get on with the film show
hollywood waits at the end of the rainbow

This whole situation with Brayford is so fucking depressing. When we signed him back permanently it was the only signing of the last few years that got similar "yesssssss" type reaction to when we score a goal such was the excitement generated. Player of proven quality who loves the club and the manager. Team in the top 6 about to play the 2nd leg of the league cup semi-final possibly generating the momentum to put pressure on the top 2 (having just beaten Preston at home too).

We talk about how managers can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear but we succeed so easily at doing the process in reverse.

Hardly the strongest example but admittedly the part about Hussey was before I'd seen him play for us and more based on what mainly Wilder had said about him, so it was a reasonable enough post.

Really cannot understand the witch hunt against Brayford, had a bad injury, and is fighting his way back, agree he has not made the heights off his loan spell, but my view he will return to what we saw in the loan spell. To me he is one of those players that need an arm round the shoulder when things are not going well. Players react differently some take a bollocking better, and in turn play better, others need an arm round the shoulder. Different personalities, and that then comes down to man management. There is not currently a better right back at the club, so why get rid, and have to spend money on a position the will need filling, when money would be better spent in sorting the midfield out.

Again, lol.

If he's going sell him not loan, we shouldn't let Clough get his way easily especially after what he did here, if he's so desperate he'll have to find away. Sending him out on loan would mean losing our RB with no funds to bring in a new one.

Basham was decent at wing back but the main tactic was usually hoofing the ball to him for him to win flick ons. Not sure how he'd fare as an out and out right back. Surely he's got to be decent in one if his 40 positions

He played right-back quite a lot at either Bolton or Blackpool or both. It might be a good idea to give him a go because he needs replacing in midfield.

Read somewhere on here Brayford was playing with bruised ribs wnich if true would quite possibly account for his performances.

If we are letting him go out on loan and paying a proportion of his wages that's madness.

He's our player we paid a huge fee in league 1 terms so why give him to clough on a plate? And before sorting a proper replacement out (NOT BASHAM FGS).

He doesn't give a shit since his daddy go sacked. Get shut, hope they're paying all his stupid wage. He's a player who will go thru the motions for the rest of his career-his injuries have done him... Lost pace, lost strength, so much so he can't even get a cross in

Ridiculous he's not at his best but he's still one of our better players. Another Clough hater who is against anyone signed by the man, even if it is to the detriment of the club.

I do have a little ITK (get me!) info regarding Brayford, which probably holds 0 significance but here goes.

When Wilder came in, he brought the start of preseason forward. Brayford was upset because it meant he had to cut short his holiday. The most minor of fall outs ensued.

If that's not fuel for the fire, I don't know what is.

There's a few right backs in this league I'd take over Brayford.

He get's forward his lot but his delivery is gash (and that's being kind) he's not the best defensively. The cult hero thing has worn off.
If we sold him for a fee plus Morsy - then replaced him with a top class league one right back such as team of the season winner (and free agent) Reece Wabara - I'd be over the moon. Put the fee we recieve then to the centre half fund and sign the very best we can get.
Or just give it keV.
