Why would losing McB be a massive blow ? We're down anyway and his availability is poor so surely we aren't offering him a new contract ?
We need players who are much more robust than McB.
If Wilder wants to renew him , he's going against his already publicly stated desire to avoid players who frequently aren't available.

I'm not saying he'll stay, but nothing in what Wilder actually said suggests that he's off either. It's just a typical clickbait headline from the Star.

We have had 30 to 40% of our squad have been missing for most of the season. Even as they post this we have 7 players out not 6.

Well if we've learned our lessons we would not renew players contracts who are permanently injured the data suggests those you've mentioned are injured more than they are fit. But this is United and in around 6 months time fans on here will be telling fans who suggest these players should move on that "hindsight" is a wonderful thing..
