How many goals do we actually need to score to win promotion?

Our record in league games featuring Scougall this season: Won 8 drew 5 lost 8
Our record in league games Scougall missed this season: Won 7 drew 2 lost 1

I'm guessing that stat hasn't improved, as we haven't fared too well since his return for injury.

Yet for some obscure reason, i'd still play him over Holt in the play offs o_O

i've checked the analytics and we need three more goals for promotion

We don't need to score again if we don't concede.

Win two penalty shoot outs and we are up.

That's the minimum.

It hasn't.

Scougs started 20 league games and came on as a sub 5 times.

Record when Scougs starts: W6 D5 L9 points per game 1.15
Record when Scougs comes on as sub W3 D2 L0 points per game 2.2
Record when Scougs doesn't play W10 D7 L4 points per game 1.76

Food for thought again.

On a similar theme: Terry Kennedy started 10 league games - our record was won 6, drawn 3, lost 1 (he came on as sub vs Coventry in his other appearance). We will miss him in the playoffs.

Has any club done that before? Do the bare minimum and win the playoffs without scoring a goal?
