It's quite incredible that we had two points from 17 games last time we were here and yet we returned more in 20/21 than I think we will come the end of this season.

Similar to the Covid season. Losing by the odd goal and drawing games. Better than being battered 5-0 and barely straying past the half-way line. See what happens against Villa and Palace.

Agree.....think we're developing a base of consistency where we're becoming a half decent side.

However the problem is.....think we're well capable for picking up plenty of draws but wins will be a struggle
and unlike under Hecky dont think any team will thrash us again. Basically we're competing and no longer an embarrassment.

Obviously a lot of "if's and but's" but I don't think its impossible for us to get another 20 points this season.

Even if Everton don't get another 10 deducted.. 31 points gets us above Luton.

A couple more decent incomings this JTW and we've got a chance!

None of the promoted clubs managed to get to 30 points.

For the money they spent in comparison to our breakeven approach Burnley's performance was arguably relatively worse than ours. Not least because that game against them at the Lane epitomised our season: we didn't take our chances then we were punished for poor defending and abject goalkeeping.

"relatively worse ", think I'd go a little higher "incredibly worse than ours" considering they've had the dosh and knowledge of 6 out of 7 seasons in the Prem.

Leicester and Southampton will get more than 30 points, the reason being is they know what a Premier League footballer is.
Ipswich also know what a Premier League footballer is, but they might not have the cash to compete.

Sheffield United don't know what a Premier League footballer is, so they buy Championship players whilst in the Prem, League One players whilst in the Championship, and League Two and Non League Players whilst in League One.

The job of giving them grit and bollocks and determination and attitude is then given to a screamy shouty manager.

If it doesn't work it's embarrassing
If it does work it's boring
