Should we not strengthen before January, where in the league will we be?

Both "In reach of top 2" and "In play offs".

By "strengthen" do you mean "add to the squad"? Because we can strengthen by improving the players we've already got ;)

I get the gist of the question and, with the usual caveats I think it'd be best to add to the squad, but I did want to throw in the idea that just bc there are no new arrivals that doesn't necessarily mean we're standing still and/or stagnating.

we are strengthening as every injured player returns

we will add to the squad but it seems Adkins is prepared to be patient to get the correct players
not bringing in any old crap

You haven't got an option for 'don't know'.

It's an educated guess rather than exact science...
But I'm educated enough to know that my optimism or pessimism is affected by my mood and thus my response is determined as much as by how I feel at the time as it is by logical reason based on our players and form.

It depends on the injured players coming back and how they play. I'd guess we'll be about 5th and 8 points off second place. Which by our standards would be absolutely fantastic.

Have a gold star for stating the obvious.
The question is whether you think we will do that.

We don't need to bring in "any old crap" ever ...... just some better / more consistent players than we currently have until he CAN get his top targets ....

There are 39 points to drop between now and January .....

Where will we be come end of January?

Pete , i think we will be outside the top six , but with the league being wide open , we will not be that far adrift . We have got some major players on the way back , and its all down to confidence .

Its not January were we are , its May that counts , and we have nothing to fear in this league except ourselves and the pressure on the club both inside and out to succeed . We have more pressure and expectation , than all the other clubs put together .

I do think we will do it . Under any other manager we could be in a relegation dog fight . Somtimes we are like Crewe , other times like the SUFC we expect.

I have never seen such an easy to answer thread over complicated by some
