From our own club’s standpoint, this is an incredibly myopic comment.

Who remembers when West Ham and Tevez sneaked a 1-0 win for his mate Curbs at Old Trafford?

Yes they had a lot of shots, but look at who was sat on the bench not taking those shots.

From the Guardian:

Ferguson, lest it be forgotten, had promised last week that he would not field a weakened team because of his "respect" for Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United and it did not seem at the time as if he had his fingers crossed behind his back.
At some point the United manager changed his mind, with Ronaldo, Giggs and Paul Scholes starting on the bench. There was no sign of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic was an unused substitute.

Biggest stitch up job in football..

I remember being on holiday that summer, sat on the sun lounger reading how curbishly was saying "tevez is our player, he's under contract here, he's not going to man united, he's our player and not for sale"..

Next day Tevez is on the pitch with Fergie, front page of the Sun no less...

First installment paid on that transfer was on that last day at Old Trafford..

Lost all respect for AF from that day on.
