Just got in from work, got showered and changed and opened myself a nice can of lager ready settle into my weekend. Up to half hour ago I wasn't too bothered about playing on a Sunday but then the missus asks me why it's on Sunday in which I politely explain until I am greeted with

"Oh well it's a good thing they are playing on Sunday........"

I'm thinking hold on whats happening here, and then she drops the bombshell.

"Seeing as though you haven't got a match to go to tomorrow I need you to run me to Meadowhell to do some Christmas Shopping".

I wouldn't mind but I was thinking of asking her to drop me off at The Coach and Horses for a couple of pre match pints before settling myself down to watch a bit of good old non league football as Sheffield FC entertain Leek.......

Anyone else been lumbered with some good old fashioned xmas sh*te to put up with as a result of the fixture change for tele??

I fucking hate xmas , spent all day looking for a tree and came home empty handed now ill have to do it again with the missus

I did actually

Here we are with all this global warming/climate change (allegedly, Broomhill :)) and people are advocating mass deforestation. What's the world coming to? Just superglue some of the needles from last years tree back on and the jobs a good 'un.

the old proverb of give a man a fish he can feed his family for a day , teach him to fish he feeds them forever applies here , show them Meadowhall you have to go, teach them how to shop online , you dont have to go to meadowhall

Still haven't got one , but she came with me this time so its not my fault

Oh and your kids would let you get away with that, yeah right.
The one who never used to shut up (and still doesn't) has just finished her first day on the wards as a student nurse.

Yes, I know ....
