Which way to kick?

In the 1970-71 and 1971-72 seasons we usually attacked the Kop in the 1st half and we scored more goals at the Lane End.

True, but Bramall Lane lower was full of Blades so like the kop, just smaller.

As I said early in this thread that in the 1970-71 and 1971-72 seasons we usually kicked towards the Kop in the 1st half and scored more goals at the Lane End

When Vinnie Jones first took over the captaincy he used to choose to kick towards the Kop first half when he won the toss. After a few games some of the other players said they preferred to kick towards the Kop second half, and he switched.

I remember him saying that was how it happened in his column in the programme later in the season.
