This season has clealy taken a major toll on him and some of the stuff he has come out with has been bollocks to say the least, but you dont become a bad manager overnight.
I think he should remain as SUFC manager in name for the moment but a take a bloody breather. Go away and think what has gone wrong and why it has gone wrong and confide in his professional and personal friends. Personally he needs to embrace some of the continental ways of doing things. Then come back ready to go again but with additional ideas.
I have felt for some time that Knill and him are good tactically, but they dont have the class of player to deliver it at the highest level. The lack of goals over the last couple of seasons have shown this and we haven't thumped anyone for ages (very un Sheffield United like that). Maybe it was becacaue he was a defender as a player !?
In the short term put Paul H in temporary charge and review at the end of the season.
