Should be a fun read!

Edit: Fuck me, they’re more obsessed than Wednesday fans with the parachute payments. Funny how that huge advantage didn’t seem to help them when they got relegated from the Premier League a few seasons ago and <checks notes> immediately got relegated to League 1 though did it.

🪂🪂🪂

Oooo nice and salty.
They feel like we did when Spurs celebrated over the top last year after their added time goals.
Lots of whining about parachute payments, although nobody seems to mention it after they stuff Luton.
They also don’t seem to realize that we’re not too enamored about the the thought of the Premier League again. We’re still heavily traumatized by last season and just enjoying winning a few games again.

Parachute FC and cheats who should have got more than -2 deduction...Thanks for the pigs reviews, but can we have the Sunderland one now?

Jesus wept. Anyone would think we've got them a little rattled.

That would be the same Sunderland A.F.C that got relegated from the Premier League in 2017 and (checks notes) received parachute payments.

Wow, they're giving the pigs a run for their money in the mardy bum stakes. They honestly have a problem with Wilder because their arrogant manager wouldn't shake Wilder's hand 🤣? How the hell is that Wilder's fault?!

They had the first half, we had the second. We kicked the ball in the net and in truth, pen aside, they never really looked likely too. It was a brain dead decision from Souttar to get the second yellow that in all likelihood kept them in a game. Hamer's superb first time pass leading to the straight red had unlocked the game for us. The sort of quality you rarely see in the Championship. They were looking at 50-55 minutes 10 vs 11 which would've been very difficult for them.

What a set of "mardy bums".
Thank you Roy. :)

Roygbiv your eyes must be stinging after collecting that enormous pile of salty saltiness 🤣

Feck me the before and after views absolutely confirms the Sunderland fans as the most entitled deluded fans in the league (alongside them lot from South Barnsley of course).

They obviously have no clue why the -2 points were deducted but it makes an easy stick beat us with along with parachute payments instead of acknowledging your team weren't good enough to beat us.

This season is the season of " Look how much their players cost and we were so much better than them, any other day we win easily".

Love it #passmethesalt 🤣

Plastic Geordie cunts in the same bracket as Leeds and the Pigs.

Too many forget the shit crowds at Roker Park. Still one of the few away grounds I've been to where home fans in pubs were happy to throw glasses and bottles at women and kids.

Better side in decent spells tonight in fairness but the hard luck story doesn't wash for me.

Both from their pre and post match comments , what a strange and misguided bunch they appear to be .

They outplayed us for most of the 90 minutes , battered us and on another day would have won comfortably ?

Were they watching the same match as me and the professionals who analysed it or are most of them as deluded as our less fortunate cousins from a nearby location ?

It seems to me that the latter is the case and for that alone , they have my deepest sympathy .

Salty fuckers aren’t they, and the tired old parachute payment trope.

They weren’t crying about it when they were getting it. Fuck ‘em, Temu Geordies. Cry some more and stick it on your fucking Netflix show.

Cheers Roy

They spent the best part of a decade in the Premier League last time around while that TV money rolled in. Yet they get pissy that we have had two lots of parachute payments to balance our books.

Well the woulda , coulda & should have merchants are out in force tonight ! …Got a mate who’s a Makem.. boots on other foot & they’d be giving it large … well sorry lads our skint parachute payment side littered with as many young uns as yours dicked you tonight …so dry your eyes 😢⚔️ .. ps the parachute payments sound a bit S6ish .. if you you win your fkg fantastic turning thr odds over .. if you lose it’s unfair in financially wrong … talk absolute bollocks but if makes you feel happy whatever ..,just fuck off.. weak argument through tinted glasses 👍

The team that beat them:

Cooper (2 million)
Souttar (loan)
Robinson (500k)
Burrows (3 million).
Gilchrist (loan)
JRS (1 million loan fee)
Peck (academy)
One (academy)
T Davies (free).
McCallum (free)
T Campbell (free)
Callum O' Hare (free)
Hamer (13 million)
Souza (8 million)
RND (academy).
Seriki (academy)

The only players that have made a big impact on our season that didn't play are Moore (1.5 million) Arblaster (academy) and Anel (4 million?).

8 of United's current 25 man squad are academy graduates. The only remaining big name from Prem season 1+2 under Wilder is Brewster (who didn't feature).

United signed one permanent player in five transfer windows prior to the last promotion. Our wage bill is unlikely to be high due to the huge exodus at the start of this season, and most of the squad being on academy money or contracts signed in the Champ.

Outs for big money to fund current crop: Berge, Ndiaye, Osula, Lankshear, Jebbison, Traore, Trusty, Bogle, Archer (mandatory buy back clause). Those lot absolutely dwarf the expenditure on incomings. The bulk of the money above is from academy player sales, not selling Prem bought players.

It's a huge chance for clubs like Sunderland to finish above the likes of United and Luton. We aren't normal parachute clubs.

Any championship team that think they're going to go up and not get battered every week is in for a pretty big surprise unless they spend 100mil+, the bottom six in the premier league is much better then any team in this league

Don’t offer facts … that’s against the rules !!

A very bitter bunch aren’t they. We won and we had key players missing. Bellingham mark 2 was very average and we bossed the second half. They’ve had 5 consecutive draws before losing at Bramall Lane. That tells you how very average they are. All down hill now for the mackhams..always preferred Newcastle.

Let Sunderland fans know that this is a side, partially re-built, but not yet finished. Still a way to go, but SUFC fans saw a very ‘together’ squad that is not yet finished. Add one or two quality loans, and then try again for the return fixture.
Being a young squad, both teams need to accept the frustration of some younger players being inconsistent sometimes!

To see the players react to Tom Davies coming back, is a very good sign indeed.

“The lap of honour is very small time. Don’t the fans shy away from it? They have a huge advantage, it should be very easy, but they act like it’s a huge accomplishment.”

Yeah, cos when I win a hard fought match, I usually like to celebrate by pissing off home straightaway without acknowledging anyone.

Tits.
