I won't dress it up psychologically - we've lost a game of football.
I'm not bothered about psychology, they've won, we've lost.
People say what a great game of football - nonsense - it's not great when you lose it's great when you win.
I'm not putting my arm around these lot - you've lost a game of football - be better.

Where's that brick wall, I want to run through it for him.

Sounds like he’s removing himself from any sort of blame.
Or it sounds like he's demanding more from a group of players that he knows can deliver better quality than they did in the final third, yesterday evening.

Duffy's chance late on 1sr half - should have got it on target.
Numerous times the final ball into the strikers from wide positions was poor - for all the excellent approach play.

Fine details, but that's what makes the difference in the "big games where we are now. We still in a situation where we are not picking up the points against the teams in and around us and I'm absolutely certain that is on his mind.

We're still not good enough. That's not CW fault, apart from the occasional tinkering and substitution decisions. We just don't have the quality which promotion teams can afford. I bet he gets really frustrated with that just as much as seeing a quality team underperform. Thing is CW, with these players they have to perform at 100% all the time to keep up, and very few teams have ever managed that.

I’m not saying the players couldn’t have done better, they should have done. What I’m saying is that it would be nice for Wilder to hold his hands up and say “I got it wrong”.

He has admitted he’s got it wrong several times in the last, away to Boro, home to Birmingham and Preston at home where he criticised his own substitutions.

It’s fine margins, we regularly found our selves in good positions but the quality was lacking on the final ball. It was a close game yesterday, we could have easily drawn away against one of the favourites.

This. Absolutely this. Him and Knill are pure quality, the squad cannot be knocked in anyway, I love them. An open chequebook for an Assombalonga, Bolasie, Gayle, Mount, Wilson, Marriott would make a shit ton of difference though.

Football is very often fine margins
A number of poor crosses put in the box when in good positions
Derby goalkeeper drops it and the header hits the player from 1 foot away, could have easily been a goal
I am sure most would have taken a draw yesterday

At least a few people are seeing what frustrates me, the wasting of too many opportunities when we do well to work the ball inside their fullback to our wingback (usually Enda), and the final ball is poor.

I think Enda has stepped up again since the start of the season, and I do like him, but when we're talking small margins we can't afford him to waste two simple crosses to Billy yesterday that would have seen us get something.

Nail on head.

The worst example wasn't ES last night, it was Duffy from a very cleverly worked free kick. It's conception was champions league quality, the execution was off concorde park.
