Re-hashing a non-story that appeared online yesterday.....typical Star hackery

the answer is yes, of course he could become the next Manager......the fact that he said yesterday he expects to see the season out and go back to the U23's suggests he wont...
 
It wasn't as bad as another website that led with a headline that said "Sheffield United ready to give Heckingbottom the job"! You read the article and it's nothing of the sort.

I still read the Star and I like James Shield when I've heard him on Alan Biggs show etc, but I won't subscribe to the website for whatever it is a month as I don't feel they break any news these days, Yorkshire Live covers all the same articles for free anyway.
 
The Star is sadly passed it's sell by date but, if we gave the job to Hecky I feel there would be some serious fan backlash, the man doesn't want the job he shows zero interest on side-lines. I used to read the Star many years ago when it was a broadsheet and it took 20 minutes to turn over page, especially if caught in wind.

I've love to know how many subscribers they actually have B4 - if it's in treble figures I'd be amazed!

I'm afraid I gave up on the Star and James Shield in particular a long time ago. In fact, it was shortly after the time they switched-off comments which, thanks in the main to Moan? Nope-I saw Longhorn, were almost always more entertaining than James Shield's musings and non-stories that were seemingly generated in order to fill column inches.
 
Had a flyer through the letterbox today asking us to order it
 
I do agree it's rubbish but I'm guessing the social media we have access to these days didn't help the stir..
 
Would sum up our club that we keep Hecky and Bettis friend in a job.

Yep that seems the case but! We could do a lot worse! He talks well !seems very level headed obviously a good coach and enjoys working with young players.
Ticks a lot of box's there.
I was frustrated like99% of blades when Wilder resigned and although I listened and enjoyed Wilders press conferences Heckingbottom does a great job ,he seems well on top of the areas he covers in these conferences and I think he puts it accross very well.
The board will be mighty impressed with him as I am.
A good guy who we dont want to lose.

I also thought about proposing Becky as a bit of a wind and in the end couldn't be arsed. Well done

Nostalgia not what it used to be ?
 
Anyone remember the "super computer" predictions . Strangly always had us doing bad and wednesday winning the world Cup or something 🤔
