Well we didn't lose, but poor performance again, lucky to take a point. Turgid is a word too often mentioned this season.

This situation is one that the Prince and the board have to own a bit. Them and Wilder couldn't see eye to eye and of course he left. And this team is built for Wilderball.

Every summer, every club looks to sign new players, freshen the squad and competition and in our case help the new manager change the way he wants to play. We would be needing new signings for Wilder if he was here too.
We've dropped a division and thus the quality required now is not as high as we were fishing in last season.

Frankly like others I find it very perplexing.

They've had since March and if it's true we needed to move on first with Ramsdale and Berge then why not be more active to do so. They've stuck out for the price they wanted which is admirable but perhaps also silly. It's put some off Berge but even if we got close to back what we paid for him if it helps to bring new UN's in then it's probably worth it.

For Slavisa to get them playing the way he wants he's gotta use some round pegs in square holes at the minute and without new signings it will take longer and more training time too. If he can manage it.

But the problem is that this team is designed for a 352 Wilder style. Overloads in wide areas, overlapping CBS.
And we didn't always build from the keeper.

Essentially SJ isn't being given the tools to do the job he wants and that doesn't usuall end well.

I think that some of these players are just not performing. Wilder said last November that the players needed a new voice and he was right the players just downed tools. Had a cull started then we may be on an upward curve now. If we don't sign anyone I think we will go down

So the suggestion is,

1. Sack Slav as its pointless he's here,
2. Get Wilder back-in before noon tomorrow as there's a deadline,
3. Give Wilder all the cash he needs for him to do all the wheeler-dealing he can - after all - he is without doubt, the new Cloughie/SAF/Pep/wide boy Harry Rednapp all rolled into to one,
4. Sell Berge for less than he is worth,
5. Get Lunny back from Rangers as he is the one who sets the standard.

Is that correct?

Wilder did what he could with this group, but they still dropped down to the bottom of the PL.

No the suggestion is that the board have not planned well since Wilders departure and now we are in a desperate situation when it didn't need to be like this.

They have to own all of it now. Last season was a fuck up and middle management was replaced. The fuck ups are continuing and there’s nowhere else to look to.

And perhaps beforehand, when they allowed Wilder final control over who was brought in for millions and millions.

Regarding the current crisis, is Wilder an innocent party?

But is it? With Jack and Enda yes but not the current defence. Egan's preferred choice is always sidewards and only Basham and Baldock show any ambition to get forward. We simply haven't been the same team since Jack got injured, everything is so predictable.

Shocking planning, but typical of United.
Mo Salah is vital to Liverpool, one of the best strikers on the planet.
But would Liverpool end up bottom of the Championship if he was injured ?

When Luis Suarez left Liverpool did they stand about crying, no they replaced him with Salah

We get a reasonable first eleven and then provide inferior cover for them, instead of players who are better than what we've got, or players that are at least challenging for the shirt and not just thrown in when injuries occur.

I saw a Tweet not long back saying Wilder getting this group of players to a 9th place finish in the Premier League is one the greatest achievements in the history of the game. I’m starting to agree.

I said exactly the same thing as you in June and I got slaughtered for it:

You’re looking for an argument when it isn’t there. He wasn’t suggesting that or anything like it.
