Watching the action from behind the net, albeit admittedly on a stream, it was unbelievable that shots weren’t coming in. Several times there was nobody between their keeper and a Blades player with the ball and yet it went sideways every time. By all means probe for a gap but FFS shoot when there is one!

When the ref stopped play for an injury, we sportingly kicked it back to their keeper. I don't know if that counts as a shot on target?

Because maybe they have worked out that doing so is an incredibly low percentage play? If we had had 18 shots off target like they did rather than 4, do we win the game?

Their hugely deflected first goal shows excacly why your shots don't have to be perfect and hit with pin point accuracy to go in.
Football is so so simple. I can't believe I'm having to point out that the more shots you have the more chance of goals you'll get.

McGoldrick’s is the only one other than the goals that I remember. He should have given the defender no chance with that. Awful miss.

Joking aside it was my first visit to the New York and I have to admit I really liked it. Bars inside and out, a very short walk from the centre, steep rake on the stand, good atmosphere, quick to get out - only thing that lets it down slightly is the lack of boozers for away fans in town.
