Fantastic player, would fit in perfectly to what we already got/need. Quick, agile, works hard and can play in a numerous positions - as a winger, lone striker or as one of two strikers. Very athletic and strong and can use both his feet well. Apparently there have been two Championship clubs sniffing around, hope one of them was us (the other surely Swansea) but can't see it to be honest. I have seen him play week in week out for the past three years and he is on another level. Price: rumour says 3m€ with 20% sell-on.

Must admit I've never heard of him either. Just googled him and there's articles linking him to Man City and Arsenal...

No way he is going to clubs at that level. Pawel Cibicki was 'heavily' linked to Man U a year ago. Ended up at Leeds reserves...

Must be Swansea seeing as he plays for Potter’s former club. Can’t really see him going anywhere else

Very powerful shot on him. Doesn't seem hugely prolific, would maybe be in the 10 goals a season bracket in the Championship. But someone like that with his versatility, pace and ability would cost more than £3m over here.

If he was such a sure bet I would've expected Potter to have signed him for Swansea though?

I was going to say that about Ken Sema, too. They might have been after other players in summer. What I like about Ghoddos is his versatility, you can put him on either wing or up front, or just behind a striker - does a solid job wherever he plays. I really do rate his work rate and off the ball attributes (smart player, reads the game well and have a good pressing game). Scandinavian players usually adapt well to the English game, too.

Let's hope if we sign him he's able to leap better than the last Sammon?

Should be available for free this summer. We need to add depth in midfield. We love a Brentford reject (seriously I have a lot of trust in the Brentford scouting system).

I properly have a soft spot for Ghoddos... Only because I got him on a free on a Football Manager 21 save once upon a time and he got glitched for some mysterious reason so he became freakishly good.

Seriously, even when he turned 35 I bought Phil Foden for over 100m to replace him. Ghoddos saw Foden off, won the World Golden Ball (Ballon d'Or) and then retired. Guy was a machine!

Would be a really good pick up for us, he'd be within the wage budget, and would be a good creative player for us in the Championship if we go down. He's Swedish and from Malmo (probably from the same part of town) like Anel so would have a ready-made buddy in the squad.

I'm giving this a bump as he's a free agent now. Let my Football Manager dream live!

Seriously though, he fills a number of positions (came into Brentford as a forward, played on the wings, attacking mid, central midfield and both full backs) and has shown what he can offer even in a bit part role for Brentford this year. I'd be really happy to see him come in.

He even fits the obligatory "played well against us" line of scouting!

I don't how accurate transfermarkt is for injuries. But that suggests he doesn't have a bad injury record at all.

He is 30 already. But he's free!
