There seems to be no leaks from the club at all at the moment.

Hardly any journalists discussing United rumours. No ITK posters online.

Yet they’ve been told about our transfer budget.

Seems legit.

Fully utilising the loan market makes sense anyway coupled with some sensible permanent additions.

The same website that says 'WE MUST BUY THIS PLAYER'... and 'SHEFFIELD UNITED NEED TO PLAY THIS PLAYER IF THEY WANT TO WIN GAMES

and it turns out to be Hamer...

Thanks

No different to every summer then. We've already got £9mil profit from Souza.

I'm not against loans other than when three of them become regular first teamers as it leaves you three players down the next season before you start strengthening other positions. That then becomes really costly. We've been too reliant on loans over the last four seasons and it's lead to gaps in the squad and us not having players to sell to fund the next transfer window. How much money did Man Utd, Man City and Wolves get from us paying them to borrow players who then they sold for significant profits?

Obviously all the loans have gone back, freeing up their salaries. Brewster reported £35k salary. Souza’s salary which won’t be low and his £13m transfer fee surely gives us some leeway?

We’ll see

I trust footballleagueworld...

They know their audience....

How is some second rate journalist going to know the budget of a consortium of owners that even we dont know the full list of, never mind their combined wealth.

Easy answer he doesn't.

No leaks coming out of the Lane so I fear some journo's are just making stuff up to fill column inches.

There's more credible stuff on our rumours page and that's approx 99.5% bollox.

Yes I agree u would a thought so wouldn't u really but it's united isn't it nowt ever smooth .Probably that's why this new system cheap way of trying to achieve promotion!.

They posted on Twitter with a link to this story. One of the replies said that they'd called Plovdiv a Hungarian club, rather than Bulgarian. No idea if that's true, as by the time I was able to take a look, it said Bulgarian.

Either way, it's absolute bollocks

Absolutely. Football Heaven last Friday were saying United needed to start signing players etc. and they hadn't heard anything literally a couple of hours before we announced the loan signing from Forest.

At present the presenters seem to be having a bit of a go at United for sacking Wilder, asking what the board want and will we turn in to the next Watford, sacking managers every year who don't meet the targets etc.
Part of me wonders if this is because they're no longer getting any information from anyone close to United or the club itself.

Wilder will have been quite pally with some of them I expect.

They often seemed to ask easy questions or skirt round issues to keep him onside, perhaps in exchange for a bit of inside info occasionally.

If their source has gone and they’re feeling pissy it’s going to make their job difficult isn’t it

The tantrum from Radio Sheffield & Star is 100% because their source at the club has gone. Whether it was Wilder directly or one of his team/mates it’s can’t be a coincidence that no one knew anything about Rincon until he was through the door, in the kit, video edited and on the plane to Girona.

It also shows great unity from the club, number of people involved and not a sniff got out to the press, rather than the old way of the press being used to apply pressure to the board. Long may it continue.

Tbf I’ve read that on here from people who have picked up snippets of info.

Arturo Vidal linked.

They're definitely desperate as their latest story today headlined that Selles had dropped a hint on transfers. Nothing in the story said that. Utter click bait bollocks because they have nothing to report.

Well I don't know how legit this is I haven't mentioned it anywhere but I was told in January by someone who has connections in the club that the new owners did the deal for Cannon through loans against this seasons parachute monies- probably bollocks but this story on FLW makes me wonder

Early days I know, but its not been a great start from the new owners.
Other clubs seem to be making some good signings, Tommy Doyle and Poku stand out to me.
Apart from a young loan a couple of cheap gambles, we are very quiet.

Just wait and see what the squad looks like when the window shuts.

Most of the best players become available later in the window as teams higher up the pyramid improve their squads.

That's likely to have more to do with the new manager assessing the squad than the owners. We didn't need Doyle as we're already heavily stacked in central midfield. I'd have liked to have seen us sign Poku or Dolan but it seems we weren't interested in either, so it'll be interesting to see what wingers we do bring in as we currently have Brooks and that's it, unless Caceres and the other lads force their way in over pre-season.

It’s fairly common practise in football to loan agaisnt future instalments to help cash flow between the club receiving big chunks of cash. Whether that be parachute payments or television money or any other large income stream.

Also transfers are often paid in instalments so unless most of the cannon fee was upfront I’d be quite surprised if we loaned money specifically from future parachute payments specifically for cannon.
