I wanted us to sign him, so I'm not going to say I was wrong. He's doing well.

It’s no coincidence since we have played two upfront….It's no coincidence since he's arrived we've won 4 games and scored a fk tonne of goals. Hope he can stay fit and here past January.
I for one would like to see someone try a 435, not because I think it would work, but because it's mathematically impossible with only 10 outfield players. It’s no coincidence since we have played two upfront….
Football managers and tacticians like to try and reinvent the wheel over the decades.. the fact that will always remain is.. “get the ball forward, get players forward.. you will create more chances and score most goals”
I was wrong when I wrote this on the day Bamford joined. However bad the season has been so far, I’ve been one of those who has genuinely believed we have too much quality to go down.
I’m not at all sure now. This is death throes stuff.
Completely agree, lashings of custard with my humble pie please garçon!I was wrong when I wrote this on the day Bamford joined.
I thought signing him showed we had no strategy as a club and were just thrashing around aimlessly trying to find solutions to our problems. But so far he’s been good -and yesterday he was very good. Even if he leaves in Jan (I hope not), it will have been worthwhile.
Sorry, Pat.
Both have made a huge difference alongside Seriki getting a regular start.Get Bamford and Riedewald tied down to longer deals please United.
Thank you.
He was knocked off balance but the ball was too far behind him anywayBrooks should have buried Bamford's lovely cutback in front of the kop yesterday.
Htf did he spoon it over from 2 yards ?
Cheers , my view wasn't clearHe was knocked off balance but the ball was too far behind him anyway
He was full tilt and the ball was just under him / behind. Tried to drag us his foot back to it.Brooks should have buried Bamford's lovely cutback in front of the kop yesterday.

I agree with this. Last year we were shit to watch and it would have been the most underwhelming promotion ever if we’d gone up. The team as it is playing at the moment is a much more enjoyable watch.A few around me on the Kop were saying this years team look more free scoring and seem to be playing better football than last years team.
He’s played 4 games, 174 minutes scoring 2 goals or 1 / 87 mins - do for meDon’t think Bamford is a particular good striker but he gives us something different and he seems to be that missing piece.
He’s having a similiar effect to McGoldrick, in that Bamford is slow but quite clever.
He knows when to come deeper supplementing midfield. He’s also a past master at shithousery, knows how to draw fouls winning us free kicks.
Creating a football team is like cooking a fancy meal.
It’s really starting to look like Jairo and Bamford were the missing ingredients because all our other players now look so much better too.

" Creating a football team is like cooking a fancy meal " I'm afraid you are incorrect, creating a football team is very much like making love to a beautiful woman, ask Swiss TonyDon’t think Bamford is a particular good striker but he gives us something different and he seems to be that missing piece.

Yeah he just fits in well for how Wilder tries to playHe’s played 4 games, 174 minutes scoring 2 goals or 1 / 87 mins - do for me
Hes also the most intelligent forward in terms of game play and not just finishing/running channels
Comes across as a decent bloke once you scratch under the shit house history
Gerrim signed up Chrisseh

I, for one, am a fan of frothy coffee Bamford.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with his strength. Seen many occasions where he’s used his strength and balance to good effect. He needs game time to get match fit and that is coming. Managing his minutes is key, for now and CWAK are doing that. His fitness is improving and so is his overall contribution. Such a clever pick up - just like Jairo.think bamford can only get better still doesnt look totally match fit and think a few sessions in the gym to beef him up a bit will do him the world of good also a bit of a shithousery type of player think he will suit us
