This is probably the most uninspiring link Imaginable if it’s a direct replacement for Vini.

1 goal, no assists last season, low numbers on all fronts apart from defensive attributes.

I keep hearing that Seles doesn’t play with a defensive midfielder and he likes players to play vertically, pass through the lines and try to progress the ball into the final third quickly. I’m not sure how McCann fits this philosophy.

Hoping this is Preston’s version of Rifleman.

A Preston mate says that we have been linked with McCann if we sell Souza. He rates McCann as a defensive midfielder.

PNE site talking anything from £4m - ££7m.- upper price ‘informed’ (sic) by us being a ‘parachute payment club’ who will be pocketing big bucks for Souza.
Seems optimistic with 1 year left on his. contract?
Similarities with O’Brien:-contract; creativity/goal scoring, inch taller (5’9””) year younger (25 ), neither likely(?!?) to be Prem quality?
McC likely to be in less wages.
Is he better than Galbraith (similar height / age)
but scores more - Leyton apparently ‘turned down £1.5m
