What big signing? These COH guys are utilising the McCabe playbook when it comes to running the club. Sell good players for bargain prices and get cheap or free replacements. It's easy to do now that they have their "yes" man in place.

Brooks starting RW with Dolan as backup and Ukaki as 3rd choice would probably cover our right hand side.

He came on as a sub. Though I don't see much value in condemning a player for a pre-season performance. I don't think he's played a competitive first team game for Villa yet anyway.

Surely Barry isn’t considered high-profile though. Potential sure, young promising player with potential but he isn’t high profile in anyone’s book. Well maybe his mums?

I’d say Barry was considered pretty high profile in that time where most of the EFL were interested in him right after his recall from Stockport.

The loan to Hull and subsequent injury seems to have dampened enthusiasm for him on here but last January there were loads of blades hopeful we’d sign him.

It was lovely that for Brooks' goal he had two players that he could've passed to in space in front of goal. Same in the first half when One shot instead of passing to Moore when they had a two against one with the last defender. It's great football to watch.

I've no doubt we'll get hit on the counter attack at some point and that's what Selles needs to work on as well. So far I'm enjoying the football we've played. I don't remember pre-season games where the players looked this fit, lively and energetic after only two matches.
