CONFIRMED Iliman Ndiaye to Marseille

He is one of those very few players who are worth the entrance money to see. He is improving all the time, and has an amazing range of skills. He is an intelligent, well grounded lad who will be one of football`s hottest properties before too long.

His journey to where he is now is incredible. We are very lucky that he eventually landed at the Lane. As for the future, when he does move on it has got to be for very serious money. For the moment enjoy him as a Blade while you can.

It will be very sweet indeed if we go up and they come down and we can start to look at their 50 player squad and start low balling them for their better players. Id start by bidding £8m for MGW. Obviously we wouldn't get him for that but it would be hilarious to see their indignation and howls of outrage were it to happen. Then again, I'd imagine that Hecky is a bit more professional that their outfit is irrespective of where both clubs currently sit in the football pyramid. The emphasis being on the word 'currently'.

Seen Yorkshire Post stirring the pot on this with a non-story about Ndiaye "dreaming" of playing for Marseille one day, no different to when Walker said he'd love to play for Blades again.

I have got a feeling he'll go overseas when he does leave

Bit more to his comments than that.

I've absolutely no issue with him wanting to play for his boyhood club. Most of us grew up like this. Look at Sharp, he was in his prime years and left the championship to join us a Nigel Adkins side with Martyn Woolford ffs 😂

To make that a reality he has to be a success hopefully with us so I hope he achieves it one day
I'd say he has a real chance of getting there. They're not the powerhouse they were in the 80s/90s when Waddle was there. They've not won anything for 10 years and have only managed 2nd place in the league (a terrible one) three times in the same period.
They're a 'Leicester, West Ham, Wolves' type club. Not exactly a global pull. To him they are, to the World they're not.

I hope his ambition is to play for them at "some point" and that's not his only ambition. He can go a lot further in the game than playing for Marseille.

They’re massive. There’s 2 clubs in France. PSG and Marseille. Marseille have a ridiculous catchment. They are the epitome of badly run though.

They’re massive.
On a World scale? Still?

They've won the league 9 times, only once since 1992.
They've not won the French Cup since 1989, although have won the League Cup the time on the bounce (2010, 11 & 12).

They're a big club in France obviously, i just don't see that they're still a big European draw. Their best player is 35yo Dimitri Payet

They are the epitome of badly run though.
This may be the reason

Sounds like Iliman Ndiaye / his agents don't want to sign a new deal and are keen to explore other options.

Let's hope the Board at least hold out in January and give us the best chance of promotion. I think in the Summer, regardless of what happens, he'd go with everyone's blessing.

Typical of you being negative again!

It’s all a game of verbal chess at this point. The club want the best deal, so does Ndiaye.

That World Cup has gone perfectly for us. He’s done relatively well without setting it alight - most importantly he hasn’t got injured.

I would be very happy to bet he leaves in the summer if we don’t go up, the summer after if we do. The only thing a new contract affects is the fee.

As above, it's literally what PH said in his press conference.

This constant following my posts and calling them out for negativity, or an anti-blades agenda, or whatever other nonsense you have in your head - has it started getting boring for you yet?

There's better ways of having fun on the internet. Have you discovered porn yet? Give it a Google.

It’s what Heckingbottom has said in his presser.
We have offered him a new contract and what Hecky has said doesnt mean Ndiaye will reject the offer.

Ndiaye came back to Sheffield sooner than I had expected and it sounds that he is looking forward to Saturday.

You are just being disappointed that the players have come back sooner than you predicted.

Even if we go up I don’t think he signs a new deal. We can use him to help us gain promotion but that also puts us a risk of selling a player for cheap due to his contract situation.

If a big (and I’d not be looking less that £17-20m) then I think we have to let him go & bring in one or two replacements with part of the money.
